DiGenova Calls Out Gowdy, Goodlatte! Both Are Embarrassment To Oversight

I know people will come to his defense but let’s look at the facts. Gowdy talks a good talk but have we actually seen any justice? Benghazi, Clinton, Lynch, Obama and his cronies

Legal analyst and former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova called out Representatives Trey Gowdy and Bob Goodlatte.

Mary Walter talked to diGenova about the effectiveness of Gowdy and Goodlatte and if what they are doing now at the last minute will produce any results.

DiGenova didn’t hold back in slamming both representatives.

“This is an embarrassment by Gowdy and Goodlatte, to stand up and pound their chest on television claiming they’re going to get to the bottom of this. Both of them, both of them are an embarrassment to the concept of oversight.”

“To issue a subpoena at this 11th hour? It’s 11:59 by the way [a lame duck Congress], it’s not just the 11th hour,” he said. “I mean, this is an embarrassment to all Republicans who believe in legitimate oversight.”

“Trey Gowdy punted on Benghazi, took a dive,” said deGenova. “Goodlatte, all of a sudden he’s Mister Tough Guy. He’s Harvey Milquetoast, for heaven’s sake.”

“These people have done severe damage to the concept of oversight, and I can assure that when [Democrats] Elijah Cummings and Jerry Nadler take over, they won’t be as stupid as Goodlatte and Gowdy have been,” said diGenova. “I mean, this is as bad as it gets for Republicans.”

Well my scientific and first hand knowledge says yes and I am not the only one there are many. You don’t sit where I sit and there is no way for you to know and I’ll give you that. Try not to worry and avoid the media BS.

BTW the Deep State has you exactly where they want you. Dejected, defeated and hopeless. But to those of us in the know the media is no more than Tokyo Rose.

It’s been clear for years that Gowdy is a complete fake.

You're sources are unnamed. You are an anonymous person on the internet.

Do you believe unnamed sources from anonymous people on the internet?

Why would you expect the rest of us to believe them?

may have been bushies cut a package deal to cooperate on the condition of barr nomination to keep them clean as possible??

Most of us out here can only speculate as to Trump’s game plan or the extent of the political assets he has available; the size of which no doubt changes daily. Being an optimist, I like to think he offers an increasingly attractive alternative to many DC insiders.

What kind of "deal" do you think any Bush needs to stay "clean"?

Buddy we all know who we are and what we know and we don’t care whether you or any others believe us or not. We are trying to keep you from getting consumed by the propagandists which unfortunately many of you have succumbed to.

You didn't answer the two questions.

Thanks for the refresher in “Civics”. Unfortunately, and thanks to public education, a vast majority of Americans from all political persuasions don’t have a clue concerning much of our Constitution other than oft talked about 1st and 2nd Amendments.

And as usual these types of threads are full of emotional hyperbole.

You do understand that propagandists use unnamed sources, right??

That is old news. Rosenstein is out of the loop now and kind of just sitting around. Whitaker calls the shots now.

Not really. Fox reported Mueller broke chain of command and reported the Cohen stuff to Rotten Rod first. Mueller is still doing whatever he wants, apparently.

The president is solely responsible for the conduct of his entire Executive Branch.

I see. So when POTUS is publicly threatened by sitting Senators of his own party that a new AG pick will not be confirmed I suppose that’s his “sole responsibility” too? The fact is the beltway GOP has massively undermined POTUS’s ability to manage the executive branch. Only a committed Never Trumper couldn’t see that at this point. Sorry.

They can literally commit political crimes right under the gop’s noses, and they know it.

I believe the reason Trey is leaving, is because he has no backing from the spineless that were in power. He has as much so stated. I am sure he wishes he could put the handcuffs on them.
