Tucker Carlson says Trump is ‘not capable’ and hasn’t kept his promises

Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson set straight any misinformation concerning his views on President Trump: “I don’t think he’s capable,” he said during an interview on Tuesday.

Urs Gehriger, an editor at “Die Weltwoche,” the country’s leading German-language opinion weekly, noted that Carlson’s new book, “Ship of Fools,” is silent on Trump but comments on his critics. And so, Gehriger jump-started the conversation by asking what Carlson thought of Trump’s first two years in office.

Carlson said he cannot stand Trump’s self-aggrandizement and boasting. Then, when asked whether Trump has kept his promises, the usually quick-witted and long-winded Carlson had just one word: “No.”

Carlson has a mouthy opinion of Trumps performance without mentioning the sabotage directed at him by the two men that could have helped all of these projects come to fruition - Paul Ryan and John McCain...

You mean, "Trump isn't capable", given Ryan, McCain...etc.

He may be a fool but lots of folks see some truth in it. After all the gop voters apparently weren’t impressed enough to vote in the midterms.

Yeah but it’s over and over and over and over again over again.

Well, I know of one that Trump has kept, which make Tucker Carlson either ignorant, a liar, or probably both:

As a candidate, Trump required that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated. Check these two graphs out:

The Wall was Trump’s very first promise, and he has not accomplished that. I suspect he could build the wall by declaring it a national defense and national security necessity and take the funds from the Pentagon and Homeland Security. He has done well on the economy, North Korea, and trade and NATO issues, but The Wall is the most important. So, Carlson is at least partly right.

The POTUS essentially stands alone against the Liberal, anti-American GOPee, the Commie ‘Rats and the YUGE Deep State, but manages to grind out significant yardage.

WTF is TC thinking?

It’s Congress that isn’t competent.

It’s not Trump’s job to write legislation.

It’s Trump’s job to sign good legislation.

No, just the opposite is true; Tucker gets taken to the cleaners by the faaaaaaaaaaaar lefties every single night and he has on THE worst & farthest libturds ( whom nobody has ever heard of and whom nobody EVER should see & hear ! ) as "guests".

At this rate, there's only one, JUST ONE, on FNC, that is even watchable nightly and that's Hannity!

Tucker needs to just join Antifa; promoting Alexandria O-C as "the future" and condemning the GOP for not having idiots like her for candidates is THE stupidest thing ( amongst an entire article filled with stupid crap! ) that he said in this interview.

All politicians are the biggest braggarts and self aggrandizers out there. They do it to themselves and others.

Way worse than Trump.

I was hearing the Bush eulogies.

Bush is the greatest human being of all time. Kindest, wisest, etc...

Obama. Obama did everything. Anything and everything. I. I. I.

These politicians just say ut different, with a fake solemnity and tone of voice.

Considering the man has had non-stop vicious attacks and sabotage since the get-go, I’d say he’s doing a damn good job. He certainly doesn’t need those supposedly on his side piling on.

He’s not wrong. Trump has built zero feet of the Wall, and that is going to be his “Read My lips” moment if he doesn’t get something started soon.

Trump is just one human being.

He needs help to run the US government.

Don’t backstab him or berate him, help him.

I think you make an unwarranted intellectual leap to deduce that GOP voters weren't impressed enough to vote in the mid-terms. There are possibly a lot of reasons, and what you assert is the biggest stretch of them.

Tucker Carlson is a liar, ignorant, or both. Let's take Tucker Carlson at his word that he hasn't kept any promises, and that is the only conclusion.

Heck, he could just go over to a campaign promise tracker by one of his liberal brethren to find a few more: Washington Post Trump Campaign Tracker Website
