Incredible find. I luved the Mosasaur featured in “Jurassic World” but was disappointed there was no dolphin like show featuring Ichtyosaurs.

Its discovery in this ancient "sea monster" - an ichthyosaur - appears to confirm the animal was warm-blooded, a rarity in reptiles.

Or maybe the simpler explanation - that it wasn't a reptile at all....????

This specimen has given us more evidence that these tissues and molecules can preserve for extremely long periods, and that soft tissue analysis can shed light on evolutionary patterns, relationships, and how ancient animals functioned in their environment.

BS, this doesn't prove that the tissues can "preserve" for a long time. It proves the tissues haven't been in the stone for a long time.
