The value of a currency is determined by what it will buy not a government “fiat”. That is an incorrect though common misunderstanding about what currency is. It is a FAITH currency.
It matters not what the government says a currency is worth just the fact that the user has faith that it is worth something.
When the currency is truly a fiat currency it will be replaced by a more trusted instrument: gold, silver, jewels, property, etc.
