Maryland woman Denai Holly, 25, got into a 3 car crash and fled the scene. She was stopped by off-duty cop Chris Jordan, and when he tried to approach her, she accelerated. He hopped onto the hood to avoid getting hit. Then she sped down I-270 at 80mph with Jordan on her car. She's been charged with attempted manslaughter, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, was denied bond, and could face 50 years in jail.

He cut off her car with his own vehicle and approached her on foot, but then she allegedly stepped on the accelerator, according to WJLA. But she didn't make a clean getaway as off-duty Officer Chris Jordan jumped onto the hood of her car to avoid getting run over. Holding onto the car's windshield wipers he throttled down the highway, and after driving down for a mile on the interstate Holly hit the brakes and let Jordon to roll off the vehicle. He was uninjured in the accident.
Prosecutors say that Jordan stared at Holly when he was stuck on her windshield and she shrugged her shoulders, her body language insinuating 'sorry, but this is what's happening'. She also yelled at him to 'get off her car'. After she shook him off the car, she sped away and her car's description and license plate were broadcasted over the local police channels.
Her vehicle was eventually found at 8.35am in a Chick-fil-A parking lot. She was slouched in the driver's seat, as if trying to hide. Nonetheless, she was arrested and transported to Maryland State Police's Rockville Barrack office. She admitted to leaving the scene of the car crash but denied leaving with cop on the hood of her car.
She want bail, but I say bail be Denai.
MORE: Holly’s three sisters left court in hysterics after the judge denied bond. They tell me Holly works overnights at the U.S. Postal Service distribution center in Gaithersburg, and has three young kids. “She gets off every morning and goes straight home,” Holly’s BF said.
‘You don’t think she is a flight risk. I’m sure the officer is financially responsible for his family, and she tried to kill him,’ Montgomery County District Court Judge Rand Gelber said.
Prosecutors said: I think that he is extremely lucky that he was not severely injured. First, from being hit by a vehicle, but also from having to hold onto it while that vehicle was traveling at extremely high speeds down the highway.’
The public defender added that Holly recently started taking a medication for an undisclosed ‘psychiatric issie’ and it’s unclear if that issue led to the incident.
Holly was not granted bond and Judge Gelber called her a ‘danger to the community’. She faces 50 years in prison.
Her three sisters and the father of her children attended the bond hearing and left in tears.
Worked up an appetite tryin to kill the po-po.
She has already multiplied three times. Too late to stop the stupidity.
Probably figured the cops would never look for her at a hillbilly hangout.
Zero impulse control. Instead of a traffic ticket, now she loses everything.
Strange eyes. Dead, yet seething with arrogance.
I’m guessing maybe she was already suspended? Who knows?
Appears a bit stoned to me....
>>>and the father of her children<<<
Well, at least he didn’t do a hit and run.
“She was slouched in the driver’s seat, as if trying to hide.”
She must have expected that when they found her car that they would look inside and say nothing here but this pile of whale shit in the front seat and walk off...
OMG, they are separating a mom from her kids! /sar
Print that photo, place it in your crawlspace, and your rodent problem is solved.
That's really the whole story right there.
And from WJLA, keeps getting better:
Holly was found slouched down in the driver’s seat, attempting to hide. She was wearing a shirt sporting images of Walt Disney movie characters, Lilo & Stitch.
Police transported Holly to MSP’s Rockville Barrack where she admitted to leaving the collision scene, but explained she had no clue who Jordan was or why the officer would make such wild claims.
Just saying...he was off-duty, so likely not in uniform. Some guy cuts you off and starts coming towards you...what do you do?
Excuse making is the root of most failure.
Even the most stabile person can be made a lunatic through their use.
The time has come to ban all manufactured drugs and educate all in the proper use of natural drugs.
