I’m okay, greeneyes, as long as I don’t think about politics. But this group is addictive and it’s hard to keep away. Sometimes just seeing beloved usernames is cheering. I’m trying to concentrate on Christmas. That always makes me happy.

It reads funny ‘cause it’s olde English-ish. It means when you feel a heaviness on your heart, praise (and things like celebrations or in your case, the CHristmas spirit) lifts and lightens your spirits. :)

I think what it means, marcie, is, either "in EXCHANGE for" (to take the place of), or "as a treatment for" (take two Psalms and call me in the morning).
