I wonder if there are any working Grumman Avengers that can do a fly over.

That would be a sight.
I remember when I lived in Virginia Beach, every time a carrier would come into Norfolk, they would fly the planes to Oceana first.

They mocked GW when he landed on a carrier.

It’s pretty amazing that the nation elected Bill Clinton over Bush. I blame Perot. In many ways, Perot was a good guy. But he really dropped the ball in 1992.

I wonder if there are any working Grumman Avengers that can do a fly over. Over two dozen in the US alone; it would be cool to have one do that.

.
There’s one on the elevator deck of the USS Hornet, in Alameda rumored to be one that Bush actually flew.

I wonder if there are any working Grumman Avengers that can do a fly over. Looks like at least one flying Avenger torpedo bomber is part of FlyingLegends.

Last year the body of a WWII aviator was returned to his home town of DeFuniak Springs from Germany.
The Air Force from Eglin and Hurlburt put on a remarkable funeral. They fired the salutes and just as they finished, either 5 or 6 F-35s flew over. Then one pealed away as they passed over.
This was at Magnolia Cemetery in DeFuniak. The military really knows how to do a funeral.

President Bush was a naval aviator. A fitting tribute.

When I heard those Jets flying over I suspected it was practice. But 21 Jets? WOW!

Unprecedented because we’ll have 21 planes in a group that can all actually fly at the same time.

For Dorkbama, there will be a 21 fly flyover.

they sent 30 to fly 21? Sounds like they are short a few to account for attrition due to worn out airplanes after barky effed things up.

This stuff is just getting gross. Nothing against Bush, but this stuff is getting blasphemous.

We were living next to the Reagan Library when he died. The fly-over for his funeral was impressive, and it was small compared to this. I would love to watch this tomorrow in person! [chills]
