VANCOUVER — As the famous Village People song declares, “Every man wants to be a macho macho man / To have the kind of body, always in demand.” But are “macho macho” mindsets becoming a thing of the past? A new study finds that male millennials are drifting away from stereotypical masculine values.
The research, led by the University of British Columbia, showed that younger men tend to value selflessness, social engagement, and health over traditional male ideals like physical strength and autonomy.

Gee, I had a traumatic experience falling into a snowbank once.
I was in the right lane with a semi next to me. He made a right turn and tore up the entire left side of my car (rental) and drove away.
I tried to give chase but the damage was pretty severe so I stopped. Since I couldn’t get out the driver side, I climbed out the passenger door and promptly fell into a snowbank suffering an actual cut on my hand. I barely survived the traumatic encounter.
Actually, since the car wasn’t mine, it was no big deal at all. The rental company met me at a body shop with a new car and that was the end of it.
I don’t believe the majority of men feel this “wussy” way...

Selflessness? Living off of your parents until you’re well into your 30’s and then living off of working people’s taxes is not selflessness. So, it’s a lie.
Social engagement? Posting on social media and playing video games over the internet is not social engagement. So, it’s another lie.
Health? At 2 to 3 times more likely to be mentally disordered and mental the fact that health affects physical health one must wonder what the long term affects here will be for the soyboys.

Selflessness is a great warrior value. Men earn Medals of Honor for being exemplars of selflessness. "Health" and "physical strength" are very similar.
I'm not sure what, exactly, is meant by "social engagement," but being a good citizen, contributing to the community in various ways, is a traditional male role. Join the Knights of Columbus or the Ski Rescue Patrol. Run for Town Council.
"Autonomy" is not even a thing, just a myth, but perhaps it's intended to convey, "Get a job."
They wont have to, these putzes wil come to the women and be beta friendzoned. Then they will get what they want, martyrdom for women who dont give a sh1t about them.
