Yes, Alabama and Georgia both belong in the College Football Playoff

Put them both in the playoff. Alabama is in. But Georgia should be in as well. Yes, with two losses. Yes, as a non-conference champion. Yes, despite the résumés of Oklahoma and Ohio State. Georgia is good enough to overcome all that. The howls of outrage will echo across the Midwest, the Southwest and everywhere else where fans hate the thought of the Southeastern Conference gobbling up half the playoff for the second straight year. The political pressure against it would be immense — and let’s face it, college athletic administrators are political animals. The College Football Playoff selection committee would be shutting out 60 percent of the Power Five from the four-team playoff, which would cause enough backlash that it could actually alter the sport.

Bama was a one lost last year to Auburn and have the Natty. I am good with the rules.

I have not said one time Dawgs should play in Natty, whomever we play is fine with me, the playoffs are rigged in favor of schools with less money to compete, name any other team other than Bama or Clemson that can beat The Dawgs I will wait. GoDawgs

Why is Norte Dame in the discussion not being in a conference?

Can not have it both ways?

Blame conference greed. If wasn’t for a conference playoff, they’d be in.

*** True statement did you know all that tv money is equally divided with SEC teams.

Oh, they got their asses kicked by LSU, a team with three losses. That isn’t Notre Dame’s fault.

***Well ND needs to play in a conference first. Let’s let ND play LSU and we will chat, may the best team win and just LSU not to mention their equivalent say Vandy, but I have a soft spot for ND, just a little. GoDawgs

I agree Georgia is one of the best four teams, but that earlier 20 point loss to LSU is what eliminates them from the playoffs combined with the loss to Bama. If they'd beaten LSU, I'd say they should be in the playoffs.

I wouldn’t be too tough on him. No one is going to beat Alabama. Doesn’t matter what he did. And if GA was kept in the playoffs, they’d lose to AL again.

AL is just too fast.

***** Good points. But history proves different it is sooo hard to beat the same team twice in the same year. I would love to play Bama again.

Bama’s always fast did you know Dawgs have played 47 freshman this year and 9 players that can run 20+ mph. Give Bama it’s due they played a lot of freshman to.

Alabama can score 50 points and still lose!

Is this a typo? NO team is going to score 50+ on the Bama defense. It's simply not going to happen.

Doesn’t Bama have Waddle? who can run around containment?

He’s a freshman too. I think.

I am good with that, that football takes funny bounces. Not to mention the emotion of college guys.

**** I am not sure about Waddle.

That’s the mindset of containment just don’t know what college boys will do on any given play. So much to understand in their position did they remember the drawn up play, did they hear the play called, is their bell rang from the last play, are they tired, are they pissed, can they out match the one on one with strength and just don’t care this play get them next play, what did he say about yo mama and sister, who tried to poke out eyes on last play on and on so many variables sooo much fun...I do hate to see the too much rough stuff.

I knew Bama’s QB was in trouble with his ankle and it would swell at halftime, but I feared the back up these are money career games for some guys.

It’s funny, but I think if Bama’s starting QB had stayed in, GA might have won.

Let’s solve this issue. This should be a playoff for the Power Schools. Form four power conferences. Conference championship games are the round of eight. Only conference champions advance to the Power Football Championships.

If ND wants to play for a Natty, join a conference.,
UCF isn’t a power school so too bad.

Everything that had to go Georgia’s way to win that game did...and they still lost. Georgia simply proved that they can’t beat Alabama. They had their turn, they failed. They had to win to get in and they didn’t. Time to move along -

Yeah the computers... that allowed the 2003 OU Team to throw the 2003 Big XII Title Game to K-State guaranteeing the conference millions in additional revenue without losing their place in the BCS Championship.

8 teams is the answer... 5 Power Champs... 1 Group of 5... and two Wildcards.

Nonsense. Georgia was just eliminated in the ‘quarter finals’. Now onto the semi finals, with Bama and Not-a-dame.

Watching UCF get stomped by competition at least one 1 level above them would be entertaining.
