I agree with L. Marcus. When the liberals run out of arguments (almost immediately), they use the accusation of “You’re mean!” to try to shut us down. I just happily agree that I’m mean and then they become apoplectic and don’t know what to say. I explain how “mean” parents do a better job of raising kids than permissive ones, etc.

Sadly, I’ve traveled this road with quite a few of the mentally deluded.
My stock response is that “mean is a subjective, emotional argument which only weakens their position. I then invite them to enter into a discussion based on objective facts.
They usually call me a legalist.
