FWIW, I found (and lost) search results that said when Reagan died (June 5), George Bush (traveling in the UK) declared the following day (JUne 6) a national day of mourning during which time federal buildings would be closed. Other posts indicated that is standard for the death of a pres (national day of mourning/fed buildings closed.

I was in Federal Court attending a capitol murder trial. I believe they held court until the day of the funeral, but I’d have to look back on the transcripts to know for sure. But if memory serves me correctly (and I can’t always count on that), the Judge gave the day of the Funeral off. I recall watching that on the hotel tv. I felt so sad for his wife. I remember her stroking that casket lovingly.

Q put up the congressional schedule and Wed. the 5th is a day off for them.

JFK JR always had a new england accent...this narator doesn’t. Vocal tone is very similar, but the accent is wrong.

That’s just what I happen to notice, and I know, I could be wrong.
