What a GREAT story!!!! :)

What a great act you did!!

The getting mad at Santa sealed the deal I bet.

Got some great posts and mails about this same theme.

Probably could write a book if a few hundred FReepers replied :)

They sound like wonderful days and I am glad you had them.

I was born in ‘68.

So it was still the time when you played outside till you got called for dinner then played outside till you get called for bed :)

They were GREAT days.

next thing you know she will tell them Democrats are really Socialists.

They're actually communists. And abortionists. Those first grade kids are lucky to be alive.

Wait til she tells them that Republicans are evil, and Democrats are saviors. That heaven & hell don't exist and that when you die that is it. That God doesn't exist and anyone that believes in that is stupid. She will, or I should say the school system will, at some point in time. Though they might push Allah.

Public education is one thing that regardless what you pay for it, it is still worthless.

Government schools should be abolished. Education is far to important to let government bureaucrats muck it up.

I’d like to see her prove there’s no Santa. Before she talks with the kids

Wanna make her cry? Tell her that Karl Marx doesn’t exist.
(he doesn’t as a matter of fact)

Turnabout is fair play!

I wish my parents would have told me about the truth of Jesus Christ rather than perpetuate a lie. I didn't come to Christ until late in life.

Satan Claus is not helpful.

Funny that more people get upset if a teacher tells kids that Santa doesn’t exist, than if a teacher tells them that God doesn’t exist.
****************
Exactly. That’s the reason we explained to our children
that Santa Claus is make believe and a fun way people celebrate Christmas. The same applied to the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy.

We did so, because we did not want them later deciding that we had been lying to them about Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, and they then decide that the Bible was make believe, and God didn’t exist.

They learned early on the difference between fact and fiction, unlike a lot of the Snowflakes we find in the news currently.

What a genius you are.

Ever wonder why no one wants to be around you?

Teacher told a truth that was not hers to tell.

Again the school intrudes in the parent child bond and sets itself above the parents. Inexcusable to destroy a child’s belief system rather than allowing them to reason it out themselves.

Almost like teaching them about sexual practices in great detail for sex acts that they wouldn’t have knowledge of, interest in or need for until they are much much older if ever. True but very very inappropriate & damaging.

What makes you think that we wouoldn’t be just as upset if a teacher told children there was no God?

These upset parents should just tell the kids the teacher was lying. They’d be lying because the teacher wasn’t lying. The parents are the liars so one more won’t hurt anything.

You couldn’t be more wrong. I see the magic of Christmas is lost on you but no one has the right to destroy that belief for a child. It is a right of passage in our society.

Too many people are willing to sacrifice the innocence of childhood but it actually serves a very important purpose in the development of a healthy adult. I never told my children there was or wasn’t a Santa because I would never lie to them. They absorb the idea from the people around them and I left them to believe, with presents appearing Christmas morning. No lie, no humbug just the magic of love and of being cherished. Your family your choice, don’t make it for other people’s children.

Very sweet. Nice that you thought of your Dad as an angel.

A fun new tradition is getting on the computer to see where Santa is via the NORAD Santa tracker.

This year I will get a kick out of the pure excitement coming from my great nephew and great niece.

No one can tell you that truth, you need to find it yourself.
