I recently watched a YouTube vid, filmed at a college in SoCal, where an interviewer asked the kids about Hitler.

NONE of the interviewed students knew exactly who Hitler was. (Multiple ethnicities were interviewed.)

White Album- Boring cutesy pie record, Stones were always better anyway. I bought a few Stones, Animals, Yardbirds albums but never those stupid Beatles. If you like them, good for you.

White Album was back to basics album. Just play man, drop the pretentiousness.

There's a recent YT video of Giles Martin, after he remixed/remastered the 50yr re-release, and that's exactly what they were doing - taking more control of the production from George Martin and getting back to being a band.

A quick aside...

My wife and I were a couple of 19 y/o kids who just moved from Ohio to an apt in Hollywood. One Sat afternoon I was listening to KHJ as they were playing this new, unreleased album. The guest DJ was explaining what was happening in the studio at the time or what the song was about.

The guest DJ? George Harrison

The album? The White Album

A week later I wandered into Tower Records on Sunset and bought the album.
