My niece is now in her 30s and a mother to a young girl. When my niece was young and played dolls along with my daughter, the niece had one baby doll she called “abc baby” and I don’t recall if there was any reason behind that name. This situation of naming an actual child that way seems odd to me but no different from other non-traditional names that range from being named after a banana (Chiquita) or a jiggly dessert (oranjello).
There a commercial on TV recently where a travel agent made fun of domebguy’s name.

Agree. When my niece and nephew were naming kids I told them to visualize how it would look on the name plate attached to the door of a CEO’s office.
I dunno. I kind of like Ann. Elizabeth. Laura. Giving kids cutsie and/or ghetto names is borderline child neglect. Imagine the bullying...

I think at least one “signup” account I tried to access rejected the name ABCDE when I typed in gibberish to populate the fields.
She may have difficulty later in life and it certainly is an “odd” name for a passenger on a plane.
When she gets stopped for a traffic violation, she can expect additional scrutiny from the police office or state trooper, same as any time she presents her ID in a bar while she’s in her 20s-30s.

As far as I’m concerned, giving a name like that is CHILD ABUSE. I once asked my mom why me and my siblings all had ‘boring’ first and middle names. She said it was so people wouldn’t make fun of our names (there’s enough crap to deal with growing up). Needless to say, my kids also have boring names.
