It’s always interesting that if this were food or guns that these self same doctors would be demanding it be pulled from the marketplace but because it “helps” they must stay on the market and all people must take them.
I’m not an anti-Vader by any means but this over indulgence (especially with things like the flu for most able bodied individuals) is the wrong direction.
I have received my last flu shot. Last year’s shot made my knees ache so badly I couldn’t walk for several hours. I also felt a bit wonky for about a week.
This year the shot irritated the bursitis in my shoulder, and the deep ache is still there 6 weeks later. Since the shot I also have little to no energy, and have not been able to do anything after my day’s work.
No more. I’ll wear a mask out in public.

“They” cannot say with any degree of certainty what next years strain will be; its all a crap shoot.
I've known two people who developed GBS totally unrelated to having any flu shots.......
Since there are approx 157 - 168 million flu shots per year, somebody's bound to catch something.......
Of the approx. 7,452 people who die in the U.S. every day, how many of them were milk drinkers? Coincidence?
I have never taken a flu shot and I’m not starting now.
I never do flu shots. I’m not convinced they work and I hear too many stories like this.

I wash my hands a LOT (not obsessive!) during Cold & Flu season, and I stay the hell away from The General Populace as much as possible during the winter months.

My Doc recommends, of course, a flu shot for me every year. I’ve never had and never want a flu shot.
I say to him, “Doc, you know my medical record. Have I ever had the flu?”
He says, “No.”

He says, “No.”

If you got the shot, then got sick, the shot OBVIOUSLY made you sick.
