Teargassed Caravan Migrant Mother Is Taking Her Five Kids to Reunite With Their Father in US

The photographer who took the now iconic photo of a caravan migrant Honduran mother and her children fleeing tear gas near the U.S. – Mexico border crossing at San Ysidro, California and Tijuana on Sunday says the woman is traveling with her five children to reunite with their father who is already in the U.S., in Louisiana

This fact not being reported in the numerous sympathetic articles published Monday about the mother, Maria Meza (aka Maria Lila Meza Castro), save for a buried mention by the Washington Post. The Post did a profile on the Reuters photographer who took the photo, Kim Kyung-Hoon, and included that Kim said he was told by a Reuters official that Meza was trying to reunite with her children’s father in the U.S.

“The woman grips both her daughters, one with each hand, as they run away. One child is barefoot; the other is about to fall. Both wear only T-shirts and diapers.

“The woman looks back at the smoke from the tear gas they’re trying to escape. Behind them is wire fencing, a partial wall separating them from the United States, and dozens of other migrants, many of them children, also running."

Kim said he was told by a Reuters official that Meza was trying to reunite with her children’s father in the U.S.

How did the Reuters official know this???

Answer: Cultural diversity. She is probably an exemplary mother in her culture. Why aren't Muslims arrested for genital mutilation of their daughters? Or covering them in black shrouds like grim reapers?

To hell with tear gas-use BULLETS. Mow'em down! A nice wall of bodies should be a good deterrent and, lets face it, anything other than welcoming them with kisses and treats will get the US branded 'cruel', so we might as well handle the problem efficiently in a way barbarians understand.

I have heard on other forums that children who have been sexually abused have issues with incontinence.

Both kids look like they should more than 2 years past potty trained.

The kids should be DNA tested against the mother. PERIOD.

As a father I don’t see how borders would stop me from being with my kids. If I couldn’t get my entire family into a restaurant I would go elsewhere. I don’t understand a supposed man saying “I’m gonna go live the good life. Catch up with me if you can.”

I know one of these mexicans through his girlfriend. He doesn’t live with them and they live in squalor while he lives with his sister across town. Because Trump, of course.

First of all, how does a photo become “iconic” in a day and a half? Secondly, they were teargas canisters, not “bombs”. Thirdly, her husband should go to Mexico, not the other way around.

Reuters interviewer didn’t speak Spanish....created the story. Buzzfeed did interview, who knows spanish wrote the mother is single with five children.
