Doctors kill ten times as many people.
L
Any doctor publishing pictures of bodies is violating HIPAA.
If they don’t take down those no guns signs in their offices and clinics, the problem will resolve itself.
No guns doctors will all be killed by their own signs.
Yo, Doogie, how much of that blood was shed by perpetrators in the commission of their crime?
I believe these are mostly trauma surgeons and emergency room physicians. The undoubtedly get the bulk of the Black-on-Black shootings and stray bullet crap, among other massacres. So I can’t blame them, even though I think they’re pointing their fingers in the wrong direction.
How many opioid deaths are the result of doctors over prescribing? Bet it beats gun deaths.
If the sight of blood bothers them that bad, maybe they shouldn’t be ER doctors.
I don’t hear about them clashing with illegal aliens reintroducing once-eradicated diseases back into the USA.
People who are prone to kill don’t need guns, there’s always knives, hatchets, hammers, clubs, etc., all of which can draw blood.
Some doctors - especially some of the younger ones - became snowflakes in grad school and never grew out of it.
In all cases, the consent or approval of one, by way of the act of pulling a trigger was given so there should be no issue.
Just like when they murder an unborn innocent during an abortion.
Abortion stops a beating heart.
And, of course, banning guns will make sure that absolutely, positively no operating room will ever have a gunshot would victim again.
Yeah, riiiight.
AP stirring the s*it pot....
Doctors should worry more about the mental health and aptitude of those declaring themselves and neighbors incompetent with a gun... should take the car keys and license privilege away from them
Oh because guns are a ritht and not peivilege Dr Mengele
The physician was murdered by a dipshit boyfriend.
In August during an office visit, my doctor asked me if I owned any guns.
I told him it was none of his business and then I switched doctors 3 days later.
To me, personally, they have been useless pill pushers for the past 20 years.
Mind your business doc and sew up gunshot victims if they present themselves. Our constitutional rights are your and my ability to throw off tyranny. Unlawful use of them needs to be extremely punished to prevent needless injuries and deaths. That is the solution Doc, not making people weak and vulnerable.
Hospitals and doctors kill more from infections than firearms.
Wellllll..... they could Twit-stream a vast array of grisly operating room photos after auto, truck, and bus accidents..... shall we ban all vehicles and modern transportation???
Someone should explain the facts to these anti-gun docs. Even if some kind of magic could remove every single gun in America; criminals would still find other weapons like bombs, knives, crossbows, hammers, etc to do the same thing. Nothing would be solved. Just a different method of committing mayhem.
If you will remember back to the 1980s, when the anti-gun forces, which said they had no problems with people owning rifles, suddenly made a grab for the rifles.
Their claim was that the military doctors were getting their training treating gunshot wounds in civilian hospitals because of all those “E-e-vil A-s-s-s-ault rifles out there!
Myth: Japan has strict gun control and a less violent society
Fact: In Japan, the total murder rate is almost 1 per 100,000. In the U.S., there are about 3.2 murders per 100,000 people each year by weapons other than firearms.344 This means that even if firearms in the U.S. could be eliminated, the U.S. would still have three times the murder rate of the Japanese.
Myth: Access to guns increases the risk of suicide
Fact: The rate of suicide is not affected by the presence of a firearm. This is true in either a time series analysis (like the chart at right showing the change in handgun supply in the U.S. over time),476 or through cross-national analysis. For example, Japan has no private handgun ownership (aside from an extremely limited number of licensed Olympic sport shooters), and yet had a suicide rate more than twice that of the United States in 2002.477
Fact: The claim derives mainly from one study 478 which has some serious methodology problems including unbalanced high/low state counts, inclusion of Hawaii (a known outlier) and intermixing mental health and drug use as confounding variables.
