It began when a Central American migrant was interviewed on video, threatening to shoot Mexicans who are protesting against the caravan. It is unclear where this took place but most likely in Tijuana Mexico, near the POE with the United States.
He threatened to shoot Mexicans that interfered, saying, “If they want violence, that is what they will see. What are 30 a$$holes going to do against 30k migrants?” he asked.
He is heard about next in a video posted on social media after he is kidnapped and is being tortured
At least the Mexicans take action!!

Of course kidnapping and torturing an illegal would result in our being in prison for life.

You are certainly right, but we’re dealing with a clash of two very different mind-sets. When the Mexicans I’ve known get mad they tend to yell, cuss each other out, throw things and have fist fights. When Hondurans are seriously provoked they tend to go for their machete and try to lop someone’s head off. I know several men walking around Honduras missing a few fingers, a hand, half an arm or leg because many times they settle even trivial differences with a machete.
I’m not saying this to take sides, for I know decent people from both countries. I could almost guarantee, however, that there are quite a number of men in that caravan bunch who hold human life at a much lower value than most residents of Tijuana. This could get REAL UGLY real fast!
One silly caravan meets one group of macho Mexican gangsters. What did they expect.
I’m thinking they’ll hang what’s left of trash talker’s mutilated body in a conspicuous place along with a nice note detailing how he came to be there.
They might just do that.

I have read books about how over the top cruel the Aztecs and Incas were when it was time to make a sacrifice for good crops that year.
Perhaps the capacity for and the tolerance of latent barbarity still remains in their DNA.
Over 2,000 people have been murdered in Tijuana this. If this gets ugly they might make it an even 3,000 before Jan. 1.
Interesting video to observe.....I've seen enough ISIS butchery that a little blood, by comparison, doesn't make me flinch, so it was interesting to hear the exchanges. The kid should have of course kept his mouth shut....and you're likely right he's probably gone as I suspect he could identify those who had him.
It does seem a rather foolish place to exhibit braggadocio.
Next time he will keep his mouth shut.
The video of the interrogation, on the thread, certainly sees a fellow who lost all boasting and aware his life is on the line no matter what he says now.

But I do know Borderland Beat is very reputable.
It’s so reliable that the three editors,contributors and forum moderators are anonymous because they are all on “kill lists”.
This is not hyperbole. Bloggers and journalist are regularly killed by cartels and perhaps the government.

Thought you might say that...lol....I considered it but am not as familiar with the cartels and various groups in mexico as I’d like to be.....different planet down there for sure!
The gaggle may break up but it’ll stay In Tijuana for as long as it can.
1. California is a sanctuary state. Once you get in, you’re free.
2. Narcos in Tijuana make so much money trafficking drug that they don’t have to do anything else. If the caravan goes anywhere like the Gulf coast or worse the “central border”, they will be preyed upon by cartels who make money extorting illegal crosser.
Los Zetas are notorious for kidnapping illegals and killing those who don’t pay. And regularly tortured and killed illegals just to send a message. There are tens of thousand of Central Americans missing and presumed dead by the hands of Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel.
