I’m from a tribe and I wouldn’t go there either.
You sound like someone willing to put children’s lives in danger to push your religion on them. Pity.
We, the created, have no authority to question Him.
When you meet Him (and you will), you will have a moment of clarity like no other.
Follow the law and leave these people alone. It’s a shame the young man in question didn’t follow that advice.

That is an interesting article, but it is not as straightforward as would appear. For example, they list my birth country (Kenya) as number 32. Number 32 ...worse than Kuwait and Bhutan, worse than the Central African Republic where Muslims and Christians are at civil war, worse than Mali (majority moslem, with Alqaeda in the Mahgreb mucking up things), worse than Indonesia (the most populous Muslim country in the world), worse than Bangladesh and Sri Lanka (where the penalty for changing faith is a violent death), worse than China (where Christians attend service in under-ground churches and keep their faith a secret).
According to the list, Kenya - a country with more churches than hospitals (unfortunately), and which (according to the Joshua Project) has one of the highest 'success rates' of Christianity in Africa, with 78% of the people being Christian (and professing rather than 'census' Christians, with 48% of those strong evangelicals) - has a 'very high' rating of persecution according to Christianity Today.
I literally started laughing and mentally filing the article under the 'silly stories from the West' section of my mind, but then decided to take some time to re-read it and try and understand how they could come up with such a ridiculous assertion. That is when I understood the angle they took for Kenya, which while still silly is still a way of looking at things (and may explain why India is only 3 places removed from Saudi Arabia according to them).
According to OpenDoorsUSA.org (which tracks violence against Christians ...and of course will ask for a generous donation if possible ...), they stated that "In December 2015, two passengers on a bus were killed when al-Shabaab militants boarded and separated Christians for execution. In January 2016, five policemen who were Christians and three Christian men were murdered in their homes in the Lamu area. During the World Watch List 2017 reporting period, more than 30 Christians were killed at the hands of Islamists."
They basically took those (very real and disappointing) attacks and used them to show Christians have a 'very high' level of persecution. While it is true that Al Shabaab (the Sunni Islamic terror group from Somalia that tries to cross the border every now and then, and when they succeed they kill and maim) will kill Christians, I believe that they are targeting Kenyans (most of whom are Christians) rather than targeting Christians.
There is a difference between persecution against Christians and acts of terrorism against Christians ...it would be like me claiming that the 2,996 9/11 victims show that the US has a 'very high level' of persecution against Christians. That would be ludicrous, as is the assertion that Christians face more persecution in Kenya than in CAR, China, etc.
Bottomline: They probably did the same thing for India. There was a riot a year or three ago where Hindu mobs assaulted (and I believe killed??) some Christians in a rural village. So, maybe in the same way that Kenyans - I mean, Christians - murdered by Al Shabaab in a terrorist attack skewed Kenya's numbers, maybe the same happened for India.
But I can bet good money that Christians in 'highly persecuted' India or 'very persecuted' Kenya would never exchange their position with 'less persecuted' Christians in China ...
As an aside ...this is why I always say its important to understand where numbers from statistics are coming from. Often it is hot air, many times fetid hot air.
At any rate, walking on water could exempt one from being missionaried upon.

The family said he went there of his own free will.....what I’ve read up on he was a ‘self appointed’ missionary who traveled the world exploring.
Sorry he died but seems to me he was foolish and naive at best.
I did a bit of research on this tribe a couple years ago.....it’s not like they haven’t had human contact. But have made it clear to the authorities they do not want to be disturbed at all by the outside world or men of.
At any rate they are interesting to read about.
Death of John Allen Chau (2018)[edit]
In November 2018, John Allen Chau a 27-year-old American Christian missionary from Washington State,[29][30] illegally travelled to the North Sentinel island with the help of local fishermen in the hopes of making contact with the Sentinelese and converting them to Christianity.[31][32][33] He had reportedly paid fishermen ₹ 25,000 to smuggle him from Port Blair to North Sentinel (considered to be a sovereign island under Indian law, which recognises their desire to be left alone and also prohibits travel to the island). According to First Post India, Chau had made several prior visits to the Andaman Islands.[34][35] John Allen Chau was trying to spread Christianity to the tribe and had made attempts before too.[36]
On 15 November, Chau attempted his first visit to North Sentinel island and reached around 500-700 m from the shore by fishermen's boat.[37] Chau was warned by the fishermen not to go but he continued the ongoing journey to the shore with a Bible on a Kayak.[29] The fishermen who had taken him there (but had not themselves landed), saw him getting attacked by the islanders with bows and arrows as he reached the shore, but reportedly he kept walking despite the attack.[35]After his visit, he returned to the boat later on the same day with arrow injuries on his body.[37]
On 16 November, during his second attempt his canoe was broken by the Sentinelese after which he returned to the boat by swimming. On 17th November Chau visited the island again but did not return that day. They later saw the islanders attach a rope around his neck and drag his body, whereupon the fishermen fled, but returned on 18 November and saw Chau's body on the shore.[35]
The fishermen who had illegally taken Chau to the island then reported his death to a local preacher and friend, who called his family in the United States, and the family subsequently called the United States Embassy in New Delhi.[35] Following this contact, Indian authorities arrested seven fishermen who, as of November 2018, may face a number of charges including being culpable of Chau's homicide.[38][39][40] No charges can be brought by India against Sentinelese islanders following its declaration as a sovereign state by the Indian government. Furthermore, Chau was in direct violation of Indian law, which dictates that any passage within three miles of the coastline is illegal, and is enforced by the Indian Navy.[41][42] According to the local Police, Chau had given a long note to the fisherman before leaving in a kayak, the note said "Jesus had bestowed him with the strength to go to the most forbidden places on Earth".[29]
Yes, foolish. He ILLEGALLY went where he was told NOT to go, he landed on the beach, and tried to give them “presents” They tried to kill him. He swam back to the boat, and then the next day...He went back. He committed suicide by Native.
God wants His word spread, but He also said don’t be stupid.
So they still make cool natives the old fashioned way in some places.
