[history]
An American tourist was killed by arrows shot by protected tribesmen living in one of the world's most isolated regions tucked in India's Andaman islands, police said Wednesday.
John Chau, 27, had taken a boat ride with local fishermen before venturing alone in a canoe to the remote North Sentinel Island where the indigenous people live cut off completely from the outside world.

Daily Mail has a dif take. He was a missionary..warned not to go but paid fisherman to take him. Fisherman have been arrested and no charges against the tribesmen.

If he was a Christian missionary, I admire his zeal, but...
...this proves, once again, that you can’t fix stupid, but you can shoot it to death with bows and arrows.

    Mister Chau wasn’t murdered.
He was doing something he shouldn’t do in another country, and the authorities there reacted with their prescribed response.
That “no death penalty” thing?
It’s not worldwide.

Well know, what will be his reward?
Will he be made a Martyr, and placed among the Heavenly Host, or punished for stupidity?
I would say that every soul needs to hear the Word. He tried to bring it to them, even though the failure rate was about 100%.
But as Christians, wouldn’t we agree that even Adaman Islanders need to hear the Good News?
I admire the guy. Courage I don’t have, for sure!

Please Mr Custer
To: Red Badger
Well, THAT was really stupid. Everyone knows the Andaman Islanders shoot intruders first...and probably don’t ask questions after.

Who are the nincompoops who think that indigenous way of life should be protected? The islanders should be required to allow a Starbucks to be built on their island so they can get their daily morning cup of coffee, and a McDonalds for them to get their meals from.
