App MyPark allows shoppers to reserve space
ORLANDO, Fla. - There's no need to fight over a parking spot on Black Friday. There's an app -- and robot -- for that.
The Miami startup MyPark has created parking space blockers that are used across Florida, including at several malls in Orlando.
By using the MyPark app, users can receive a code to lower the blocker and enter the parking space. The service costs about $3 to reserve a spot for two hours.
Haven’t been in a mall for over 20 years. Don’t give a crap what gimmick they have.
For many people like myself, what you said is the truth.
At this point in life, I’m done pretending to be having fun when I don’t mind just being left alone. Get togethers are nice, but not necessary. Now, if I had in-laws, kids or grandchildren, I probably would not have that option.
“Anyone here going to the Mall on Black Friday? “
I do. It’s tradition. My wife and I will get to the mall around 6am. We bring adult coffee, donuts and other breakfast items. By 6:45 we are mildly buzzed. We will find the comfortable chairs, grab a seat and watch the chaos ensue.
We then proceed to talk about the challenges in our own lives. Doing this reminds us about the chaos in our lives, how we mitigate that chaos and we should be grateful for everything God has given us.
Try it once. It is an enlightening experience.
I hope they get the ensuing mayhem on video tape
"All the world is on-line" is false and ignorant.
I like to go to the mall before Christmas and walk around the parking lot with a couple of shopping bags and my keys out and see how many cars will follow me.
What’s a “Mall”?
I stay as far away from them as I can.
I lost the desire for day after Thanksgiving shopping when I was young and it was getting bad then.
A mall is a “safe space” for teenagers to hang around on nights and weekends.
During weekdays it’s pure heaven for shoplifters——and a place where seniors walk for exercise..
(I haven’t been to one in years)

Lifted truck with skid plates and I just want to park right on top of that piece of junk.
Gotcha beat. I haven’t been in a shopping mall in 15 years.
My truck wants to test one of these. Looking at the flimsy design I bet it won’t even make a scratch on it.
Whats a Mall?

Now. Before you ask .... Don’t.

“Now. Before you ask .... Dont”
LOLOLOLOLOL! Thanks for the laugh!!
What if somebody drives right over the flimsy junk and “steals” the spot? Can the mall have your car towed? If somebody else’s reserved the spot and you stole it, do they get to key your doors for free? Does the thing set off a shaped charge under your car?
These would be just to fun to mess with.
Put a block of wood under it.
