It was good for the NFL and the LA area for the Rams to win. The place was packed, the ceremony for First Responders, etc. I wanted the Chiefs to win but left with a smile for the folks in LA.

How do Vegas sports books lose big dollars on the betting?
I’ve never bet so maybe don’t understand certain things. But I thought point spreads and over/under were set so that approximately equal amounts are bet on each team. And then the bookies make their profit on the “vig”, which is based on everyone betting $11 to win $10. That extra dollar is their profit on each bet.
Do bookies have insurance against big payouts such as these?

Commissioners don’t set the line. Vegas does. And if 69% are taking the over you’re supposed to move it. Lines exist to spread the betting on both sides so Vegas never loses.
First time in ages that stadium has been full.
As a thirty year Chiefs fan I know the agony of a division champ losing game one of the playoffs. One win, ONE STINKING playoff win is all I ask of this year’s Chiefs team.

Andy Reid teams have a tendency to deflate rapidly after a fast start - want to see how they fare in Pittsburgh or New England in January. I think they will lose two more and be on the road late in the playoffs.

I have taken to letting the DVR load up a one hour buffer, then watching the game at the lowest fast forward speed. It cuts off the annoying audio while putting the game pace somewhere around ice hockey.
Not to be picky, but I didn't comment on the game at all. I made a snarky comment about soccer.
I say it now. Neither of these teams will win the super bowl this year. Any good defense will beat them.....Pittsburgh, Chicago, Chargers, Houston.
I thought I was watching Arena Football last night,,...I do not enjoy watching Arena Football.
