A lot of people are raving about this MNF game. I guess these people do not watch college football. It is a typical week in the Big 12 = 10; all offensive no defense.

There were some key defensive plays as well.

Were a lot of points the result directly or indirectly of the defenses?

I like a good 60 or 70 point game.

Usually if it goes above that, something is askew :)

It would usually mean no defense in the game.

But dirtboy says different.

Interesting.

Interceptions and fumbles on the offense’s side of the field can add up to a lot of points.

I did not watch it.

I'm an old fashioned fan of smash mouth football. Run the ball, play stout defense, prosper.

But the league has weaponized penalties to get rid of behavior they don't like. Penalty on almost every kickoff because clearly they want people taking a knee. Penalty on numerous pass defense efforts downfield because they don't want defenders to have a real chance. Holding penalties on a large number of runs.bombs away, QBs! Don't worry about getting hit, there are plenty of new penalties for that now too.

There were lots of turnovers. But a few of Maholmes interceptions were late desperate throw attempts.

Fun to watch, but not a classic game in my mind. You’ve got to play better defense than that.

Andy Reid sucks. He’ll never win. This game just showed again why the Saints are the class of the league right now.

The Rams had two defensive touchdowns, the Chiefs one. Difference in the game. And the two pick-sixes were pretty amazing. Worth looking up.

He’s missing a piece of something that makes a good coach great.

Though it doesn’t sound like you think he’s even a good coach :)

Combined the 2 teams’ offenses put up over 1,000 yards. Rams scored 2 defensive TDs and the Chiefs 1 defensive TD.

Amen, brother. I’m a big fan of the third team on the field too. The weather. The most interesting games are when both teams are contending with Mother Nature as well.

He’s the modern version of Marty Schottenheimer. Funny that they coach the same team. He’ll win the division and lose in the first round of the playoffs to someone they are 8 point favorites against.

Until something else happens, this is what he always does. It’s why he’s no longer in Philly.

It was a hell of a game but I only watched parts of it. I can’t stand that twittering, slobbering, manic ESPN black guy whose name I forgot. The other two guys are OK. I thing the L.A. stadium was packed. Too bad they didn’t play it in Mexico City. A bullfight at halftime would have been cool.

I live in Southern California and was an avid Rams fan, especially when George Allen was the coach. But I don't even know who won last night's game and don't care.

I'm a college football fan despite the poor performance of my teams. Except for a Mexican team that they beat in the season's opener, the Occidental CollegeTigers lost every subsequent game, mostly by blowout scores. And my other team, the USC Trojans, is about to rack up its worst record since 1957.

Game ruined by Mahomes stupid, adolescent tosses into double/triple coverage when he had plenty of time...the last when they only needed 3 pts to tie. Does Andy Reid really give him free rein? Horrible and unworthy of the NFL.

One of my complaints with the NFL before kneeling really turned me off - is it has become lawyer-ball.

the NFL and its rule book has developed exactly like American leftists and our law. Its used for social engineering and rigging the game, its become massively complicated and bureaucratic, with the ultimate goal designed to make its owners rich.

You need a team of lawyers to understand it, and don’t fall afoul of it as an regular guy, or you get reamed.

Silly to call it the game of the century. One team lost by 3 after their supposed MVP quarterback turned the ball over 5 times. (3 interceptions and 2 lost fumbles).

Didn’t Reid win a Superbowl at Green Bay?
