I’m still trying to figure out how she lost it, what a speed of impact. There appeared to be zero braking. Everyone was very lucky.
FUgly...
Yikes!
Saved by her “airbags”? (Hey, someone had to...)

Reminds Me of Indy Car at Laguna Seca coming into the Corkscrew.
Gonzalo Rodríguez Bongoll (January 22, 1971 September 11, 1999), better known as Gonzalo "Gonchi" Rodríguez, was Uruguayan
At the Laguna Seca Raceway during the qualification session for his second CART race (in 5th place while qualifying), he was fatally injured in a crash. A stuck open throttle was initially thought to be the cause for his car to overshoot the braking point, leave the track and slam into a concrete barrier at the entry of the Corkscrew corner. Review of the in car telemetry refuted this supposition. The impact caused his car to flip over the barrier and land upside down on the other side of the wall. Gonzalo was killed instantly by a basilar skull fracture caused by the impact with the wall, which was lined by only a thin layer of tires. Because of the incident, runoff was installed at the end of the straight.
Gonzalo had a contract in place to compete in the 2000 CART championship with Patrick Racing.
I was watching that Live and it happened so fast, just like this F3 did.

Thanks.
Horrible.
Looks like she overran another car’s wheels and got airborne.
Thanks. Saw the incident elsewhere earlier...yikes!
“What do you mean? Look it up. I have searched this accident and I can find no more. Do you have more?”
I googled her name and found descriptions of the accident.
Try the one in post #53.
Thank You, Great find. Much better than the other Ive seen.
So strange how it goes, She gets out with a broken back and Dale Sr. Dies in what looked like no big deal.
When its Your time...
Racing too fast on narrow city streets, what could go wrong.
A lot. Ask Jeff Krosnoff. Or Lorenzo Bandini.
Her impact seemed to be backwards in a way the impact tried to push her into the seat and rotated into the structure that gave way trying to pull her out of the seat . Weight of her helmet albeit possible connected to her would seem to stretch her neck / extending her spine even though she had 5 point harness etc .... Just what I was thinking watching the slow motion video. Worst seems to be what turned her 180 so fast out of camera view and sent her airborne backwards ..... that camera stand soaked up lots of the energy thankfully.
The video suggested 227.? speed... I’m thinking kph versus mph thus 141 mph give or take. Safety gear worked . Autostradas / Autobahns of italy and germany were my playgrounds on active duty in the 70’s and 80’s ..... my average speed was 230kph on those wide open well designed highways. Can’t fathom such speed on the urban streets of Macau ..... at age 17. She’s a bad ass with a nice ass in my book !
