A Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Louisville, Ky., has apologized to a mother who was asked by a manager to cover up while she was breastfeeding her seven-week-old daughter.
Sadie Durbin began nursing her infant daughter while she was dining at the American chain restaurant with her family, she wrote in a now-viral Facebook post, when a manager came over and told her to cover up.
David Mitchell, a manager at the Texas Roadhouse on Shelbyville Road, brought me a napkin and tried lying it over my 7 week old nursing infant's face as he explained that he had another patron complain and that he really needed me to cover up, Durbin wrote.
I politely explained to him it is against the law for him to ask me to cover up and that I was well within my rights to feed my baby, she continued.
See how drone technology is being used to ensure a brighter future for you and your environment.

Sorry for the double post
It’s called modesty and manners honey. Yaeh you’re withing your rights but come on it takes nothing to use a little discretion.
One post per mammary gland?
I agree she has the right to breastfeed her infant, but she should also understand the need to be discrete...
ya know wasn’t there a time when people would cover up from a sense of modesty and decorum in a public place. Now she just whips out her teet in the middle of a restaurant.
World’s not getting any better for all these demands of ‘rights’.

What is wrong with these dames? They can’t at least throw a receiving blanket over their shoulder and display a little modesty? I’m old-fashioned so I say leave and use the restroom but I guess those days are gone with the wind.
David Mitchell, a manager at the Texas Roadhouse Is the titular head of cover that thang up darlin.
Wrong! Leave if you do not like the fact that she is within her rights.
If a restaurant can require shirt and shoes, why can it not require a breastfeeding mother to drape while she nurses?
So, I have no recourse if I’m uncomfortable with a woman breastfeeding indiscretely at a Texas Roadhouse?
Filing away for future reference.
It seems many young mothers mistake exhibitionism for
‘proof’ that they are good mothers. Nobody’s asking for any proof. Do they themselves need it? Maybe Doctor’s should issue Good Mother Badges, Crowns or Capes.//
I’d like to order one (or two) of those along with the beer in a frozen mug and the peanuts.
Note to men: If you’d like to make a point, go shirtless next time and see if you get seated.
I have seen cows being milked before but I’d prefer not to see a woman feeding her baby. Both are natural, no doubt, but a woman us not a cow.
He said ‘Titular’!!
Many of us nursed our babies. We also knew to be discrete, especially around men.
Correction: discreet
My wife never breastfed any of our four children in public, ever, but I can't imagine becoming "uncomfortable" by those who do.
What recourse are you looking for?
