Dam.
An article that sounds interesting.
Now I have to read. :(
Oh good, a video!! :)
I saw this. It’s fun.
Ping.
Thank you. So interesting!
fascinating
Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism are not from 6 BC and 5 BC, but 6th and 5th Centuries BC.
That was a mind blower! Thank you for posting!
So this man is claiming Chinese writing has existed twice as long as what I have found thus far. Not saying it's in any way shape or form that that is the definitive word on the subject. His proof, if one can call it that, is in the Chinese characters for writing. None of which I can really verify, though I'm assuming Chinese people can. 8>)
Interesting though. Thanks for sharing.

The content of the video, speaking of nearly 2000 years before those three newer religions mentioned (yes, he made a mistake, but there’s still that long time before those religions even if it’s shortened by centuries), led me to an possibly interesting thought.
Suppose what he’s saying is correct, that the people who created the written Chinese language recorded the stories of their history in how words were written. Why they should do so would clearly be to remember those stories.
As they wrote things out in their day to day dealings the very words that they were using would be bearing witness to them of the stories that they recorded.
In Scripture we are given plenty of examples of and warnings against what happens when people forget the truth, when they forget the Lord. In the near east in the times of the Patriarchs through the time of Israel and Judah we see people living in the aftermaths of forgetting the Lord. What happens to them? They get uprooted, they are scattered, and they lose their lands. It happened time after time. Even if it took considerable time, it eventually happened.
Now I’m not saying that China (the various groups that would come together to form what we call China) through all those centuries knew the Lord any differently than the Patriarchs had done, or that they’d had any special revelation as Moses had been given on the mountain ... no, I’m speaking in light of if you’re given a lot then a lot is expected, or rather what if someone keeps what they’ve been given.
My thought was if those first emigrants coming to a new land from Babel did in fact set down those stories in the very words they used, that they decided to keep what they knew, then is it a coincidence that in that larger scheme of things their posterity did not get uprooted or scattered?
That maybe by refusing to let go of the knowledge that they had, those early writers had somehow helped to protect their posterity by helping them likewise to not forget, at least for a long time.
It’s a fascinating concept. And the consequences of maintaining what you knew of God at that level of revelation that you’ve been given seem consistent with what might be expected.
Jews have always believed that Gen 25:6 (And Abraham gave his sons gifts and sent them to the land of the east) indicated the settlement of eastern Asia.
Use an English to Chinese translation service to verify.
The Biblical story of the flood can be traced back to Sumer. It’s an ancient story of a global catastrophe. Immanuel Velikovsky wrote about it in Worlds in Collision.
Excellent video. Watched it all the way through. Glad you posted it.
The historical Japanese symbol for ‘biggest boat’ only has eight people in the boat. There were eight people on Noah’s ark.

BTW, THANK YOU SO MUCH for providing this article to FR. It appears to be opening the minds of many people, especially the Christian Chinese people.
