I don’t think she’s coming back from this.
No glee here; I have a soft spot for the elderly and the sick, despite what I think of her in particular.
My 87 year old dad died last year after breaking a vertebra. He lasted about two months, most of it spent in the hospital. They sent him home, and three days later he was gone.
He was on morphine at the end, and could barely breathe.
She could very well come back from it - she’s a very tough lady; and Thank You for your kind consideration toward the elderly.
I was once stuck at home alone in a huge snowstorm, with the worst ‘flu of my life, and husband out of town with our only car. I was coughing so hard that I did something bad to myself - either cracked a rib or sprained my diaphragm.
Took many weeks to heal and my breathing hasn’t been the same since. I wouldn’t wish that pain and disability on anyone.
It’s kind of ghoulish for the Freepers to be posting here like turkey buzzards waiting for roadkill; doesn’t look good for us, especially considering the power that we have now.
I like to think that ‘noblesse oblige’ is still an ideal...
You can just tell from looking at her she’s got osteoporosis. She could probably break a bone just by snapping her fingers.
This whole damned story smells like a tuna cannery. Reports are saying that she is ready to work.
