Joy Behar said Democrats lost key senate races because of gerrymandering in a segment on ABCs The View Wednesday morning.
For some bizarre reason, ABCs Newss Matthew Dowd brought up the fact that more ballots were cast in favor of the total number of Democratic candidates than Republican candidates running for U.S. Senate.

It is true that the word came from the redistricting done by Gov. Gerry. The outline on a map, appeared to some, as being the shape of a salamander. Thus, Gerrymander.

What a maroon! They teach you in primary school in the US Constitution there are two US Senators for each state, which is why there are a 100. 50 states x2. Hello?

I once went to a bird show that was hosted by a group based in Louisville, and because Louisville is on the Indiana border, the group was called “Kentuckiana Feathered Friends.”
They are completely separate elections that have nothing to do with each other - combining their results is ridiculous. California, the largest state, had 100% of ballots cast for Democrats...and in case he didn't notice, Democrats won most of the contests by an almost 2 to 1 margin. So he had no point other than to confuse the audience.
