Gus Malzahn will be Auburns head coach in 2019.
Auburn athletic director Allen Greene addressed Malzahns future with reporters Tuesday and confirmed that Malzahn will return for his seventh season with the Tigers.
Hes our coach for the future, Greene said per AuburnSports.com. Hell be the coach next year. Hes already proven that he can get through adversity.
Malzahn has taken plenty of heat during his time as head coach. He led the Tigers to a national runner-up finish in 2013, his first season, but went 8-5, 7-6 and 8-5 in the three seasons after. I have a photo of Shug Jordan speaking at a political rally in Dothan. It is hard to say what is going on at Auburn now. He is winning just enough to stay around but not enough to satisfy the fans.
Pretty much.
Winning that game Saturday against A&M saved his job.
He has a $30M buyout? Wow.
It cost Maryland $5M to get rid of Durkin, even though he had a player die on his watch.
Gus baffles me. He’s beat Nick and elephants more than any other coach, but then he coaches games like the 2017 and 2018 LSU games.
War Eagle, anyway.
Recruiting linemen and/or O-line and D-line coaching are all miserable. Auburn used to be pretty legendary in all 3 phases.
What else can you say?
War Eagle
Ping to the Auburn list.
War Eagle!
Thanks for the ping. War Eagle
Yeah, how fast did they get rid of Chizik?
