You walk into a grocery store and pick up eggs. No smartphone? No problem. You swipe your hand across a reader, and the amount is deducted from your bank account.
If that sounds far-fetched, you obviously havent been to Sweden recently, where thousands of people have reportedly had chips implanted in their bodies.
A company called Biohax has already installed around 4,000 chips in customers, inserted just below the thumb. They can use the implant to open secure doors, pay for tickets, and share emergency information with medical personnel. The chip is about the size of a Tylenol pill, and the procedure -- which costs $180 -- is similar to getting a tetanus shot.
"The chip implant is a secure way of ensuring that a person's digital identity is linked to their physical identity. It enables access management in a way that protects individual self-sovereignty and allows users to control the privacy of their online activity, Dr. Stewart Southey, the Chief Medical Officer at Biohax International, told Fox News.
Another doctor agrees that getting chipped is practical and even advantageous. As far back as 2014, experts have outlined a number of benefits, some medical and some consumer-based.
From a medical perspective, in the ER we have patients come in every day who are confused or comatose and we cannot get any medical history from them, says Dr. Larry Burchett, a medical expert and author who runs DoctorLarry.com. If we had access to that info because they have a chip in their skin, that could be lifesaving.
HOW AI FIGHTS THE WAR AGAINST FAKE NEWS
We implant many things now -- insulin pumps, pain pumps, birth control -- under the skin, he adds. There are risks of infection, but they are low. I don't think those risks are a big deal.

You don’t need a chip or tatoo, biometric’s will work just fine.
Hand=fingerprint.
Forehead = eyescan or facial scan.
Its amazing how blind most people are where this is heading. Even though we were warned long ago. In fact we were given the information long before we could really understand what it meant.
I remember an evangelist in the mid 90’s that came to the church I belonged to at the time, warn about this very thing way back then almost 25 years ago! The weird thing is we had the technology even back then to have started incorporating the microchip implant back then. The way it was to work was it would be offered as a way to avoid theft from stores and nobody could steal your identity or wallet etc. Then it would be necessary to have it or else you couldn’t buy or sell anything.
I concur, only significantly more emphatically.
Not in this case. John foretold the technology. We are seeing it right before our eyes. Why make the prophecy intangible?
No.

Uh-oh, this again!
First, I am a Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross, to atone for my sins, in so doing, I have obtained eternal life (notice: obtain, not earned). Many assume I don’t believe when I run my theory by them, or that I haven’t read revelations.
It’s not the chips that are made for commerce that you have to worry about. It’s the chips that you will convince yourself you have to have so you can remain competitive with all the other augmented humans.
Those will eventually supplant free will, and those are the ones that will mark you for eternal damnation, by default!
I suspect these RFID type chips may be the testing platform to learn the things scientists need to know about how to implement chips that can augment your MIND. These are the very early stages.
If it can augment, it can control.
Haven’t you ever wondered how a unbelieving world will see the acts of revelation and not go full conversion and instead ramp up the war machine to take on something that will at that point have proven that it is capable of more than even the best machine worlds on the planet? The only way is to suppress the natural reasoning capabilities of independent individuals. Ie., I think the true abomination post-cross, is the willful yielding of our own free will.
Drugs are very close to the idea, but not quite there. Chips that directly interact with your wet ware, that’s where its at, and where ultimate control lies.
I remember such talk in the early ‘70s. Microchips have been around since ‘59.
You are theologically correct. I don’t like the idea of having a chip implanted though.
Not buying what they are selling. I am a human, not livestock.
So you’re like satan to the dogs :)
I wonder if they run around saying “I told you they were gonna do this ten years ago!!”
:)
>>>You are theologically correct. I dont like the idea of having a chip implanted though.<<<
There is always the ‘law of unintended consequences’ to deal with. A chip is a device that connects remotely with a source. That source may seem to be just that which it is designed for, such as a chip that monitors blood sugar 24 hours a day and communicates with the device that comes with it. But I am really not so sure. I don’t see any limit as to what device can pick up and read its signals.
Any way, at 65, I’m not into new experiences. Let the Millennials do it. It seems to me that they are already flocking to the things.
[Yes, I believe that the chip will be used in the coming Tribulation ... but it is not yet the dreaded mark.
What is missing? The one accepting the mark must knowingly be worshipping the beast AND his image. Men are not yet in any position to worship something that is not yet on the scene.]
I believe you are correct, PP. Thanks for the ping, MomMD!
If they do it to me, it will be the slowest moving, most frequently stationary mark on their screen.
There is a camera right in front of the self checkout register at Walmart. Same thing at every ATM machine for the past 20 years or more. Traffic cams on every corner. Big Brother is here, and he’s been here for decades already.
[ Fox News is trying to sell the Mark of the Beast. ]
Just about. It’s all incrementalism until we get there.
Sounds good. Cool technology. More efficient. Faster. Reduces crime.
And then, eventually, the Man of Sin, the Lawless One, the Little Horn, the Son of Perdition, the Beast......the Antichrist.
I definitely did potato chips and salsa - overnight
Oh yeah. I had a soda to cool me down, lol.
[At the very same time we see what looks like Romans 1:18-32 happening in folks all around us]
Absolutely correct
Will my SNAP benefits be downloaded to the chip?
