Democrat Liuba Grechen Shirley lost NY’s 2nd Congressional District to Long Island institution Republican Rep. Peter King after an extremely tight race, giving him his first real challenge in years.
Trump loves King, who’s been in office since 1993.

Have you ever voted for a R senator & a D congressman (or visa versa)? It seems strange that Trump energized so many voters to come out and vote & maybe even vote R for the first time for a Senator, but yet they voted D for the House. No.
Now and then voters may favor a local candidate of the other party for one reason or another but I don't understand it happening on such a large scale.

Did she bring the Black Panthers with her? I was mistaken - she didn't concede.
It was one of those typical democrat refusals to accept the vote and a vow to fight on - somehow.
It shows how far standards have fallen to see someone like her become a major party candidate and come this close to winning a governorship.

Per politico, dems are at an 18 seat lead in the house with 35 to go. They need 9 more wins. But, the politico count isnt counting the flips. Every seat lost to a flip, the dems need 2 more wins to make up for it. One for their seat, one to retake that lead.
