I am glad that Hogan won. He was a businessman before running for governor. He is good for Maryland and would probably not have won if he has supported Trump but I have mixed feelings about him because he is so anti-Trump. Hogan has to work with a veto proof state legislature which is very hard.
Maryland is hopelessly Dem. Its proximity to DC means that it has an enormous amount of federal tax dollars flowing into it due to all the federal jobs and contractors who live here.
Baltimore City has a crime rate that is out of sight, but they just keep voting the same old pols in every election.
