I used to deliver cans to a soft drink bottler in Richmond, Va.
Once I drove in and saw three cars from the Sheriff’s department parked at the office entrance.
I asked the gate guard what the excitement was about. He said they were firing someone and had the deputies there to make sure the guy left without problems.
Every time they fired someone they had the deputies there.
Rough place. Southside of Richmond in the 80’s.
