Trump opened a new front today. Needless to say the MSM and Washington political class were caught flatfooted again. I sit here in awl that he can repeatedly attack on so many fronts and win. Reminded me of Gen Puller. Who when at the Chosin Reservoir and informed by Army Intelligence which hasn't gotten better over time that he was surrounded reportedly said, "They are in front of us, behind us, and we are flanked on both sides by an enemy that outnumbers us 29:1. They cant get away from us now! Puller liked nothing better than a good fight and the numbers didn't matter. He fought better outnumbered and won. He also won five Navy Crosses most ever by one soldier. Trump is outnumbered by the MSM, the Congress and his own party. They do not know where or when he will attack them again. Every attack, a win. He is at his best when surrounded. Chesty would be proud.
Or Patton
“Chesty” Trump. I like it. He seems to act rather “Chesty”.
The last words that the gladiators saw before they entered the arena. “morituri salutant te.”
End Birthright Citizenship with an Executive Order?
I’ll believe it when it happens.
Trump promised to end DACA with an E.O. on his first day in office.
He got around to it eight months later.
Then, when it went to court, Trump sent legal teams of Hard Left DOJ career lawyers to plead his case.
Can anyone remember even one compelling argument those guys have made in court?
I can’t.
It is going to be the same charade with Birthright Citizenship.
It’s not a charade, it’s a fight while wounded and getting flak from all sides.
Trump will try to make it happen. Who’s is your choice? Paul Ryan? Haha,
An effort done, while not successful still demands respect.
When President Trump is reviewing his twenty five page todo list, trying to find things he hasn’t crossed off yet, he will see it, and finish it off.
Hacksaw Ridge writ large.
soldier you mean Marine (they hate to be called soldiers)
Moths ago I posted:
Donald Trump is the answer to the question:
“What to you get when you cross Ronald Reagan with George Patton?”
It is going to be the same charade with Birthright Citizenship.
It seems even I thought birthright citizenship was in the 14th amendment, but I now know that the language is vague and there is some wiggle room. It is only through custom that an amendment designed to protect former slaves (and native Americans) came to cover anyone that enters our borders illegally and gives birth.
It has to end. An executive order may do it, or a change in the law may do it. Either way it is now in the first stage of being eliminated.
And as far as not doing something the first day in office, you may have noticed our President has been under attack since November 2016.
Whatever you do, don't sit ON an awl!
#5. Patton said let the other guys (the enemy) die for their cause.
The Marines said “It is our job to help them die, to go to Mecca and have 72 virgins who all look like Helen Thomas”.
This.
Bigly.
You and Trump were expecting a political honeymoon?
He made the promise in his first campaign speech in 2015, but he was not sincere.
Everyone who heard that speech thought he was going to deport the DACAs.
Nope.
Trump's plan was always to declare DACA unconstitutional in an E.O. - then litigate until after the 2020 election.
He's going to do the same thing with Birthright Citizenship.
Let's talk again one week before the 2020 election and you can explain to me why The Wall still hasn't been built, too.
Re: “Whos is your choice? Paul Ryan?”
I voted for Trump in 2016, and I will vote to reelect Trump in 2020, but only because he is the most Conservative candidate who has a chance to win.
Re: “An effort done, while not successful, still demands respect.”
Not if the effort is insincere.
My top three issues are immigration, federal spending, and judges.
Trump is clearly better than Hillary Clinton on judges, modestly better than Clinton on immigration, and equal to Clinton on spending.
Bottom Line - if Conservatives don’t hold Trump’s feet to the political fire, who will?
