So in the last primary election I informed the poll workers that my friend had passed away. I signed the book, filled out an affidavit, and asked them to remove my buddy/business partner from the voter rolls. I did everything I was supposed to do. This week I received his sample ballot. They didn't bother to remove him, despite my best efforts. I now see how California works. They know he's passed but still send ballots. Disgraceful. Voter fraud is simply not paid attention to.

Why should anyone be removed from the voter rolls just because you informed a volunteer poll worker at a primary that someone else (not even related to you, with no evidence) died?

What would stop Antifa from looking up the voter rolls and handing out random names of registered Republicans to fellow Antifas, then each one of them gives the poll worker a name to remove?

If you want to remove someone from the rolls, you start with the County Clerk’s office during a non-election time when they’re not swamped with other voting-related concerns. If you are the executor, you can submit a copy of their death certificate along with a written request to remove the person’s name from the voter rolls.

This seems like some kind of procedure that should be taken when people die. or a check list:
1. stop mail
2. notify next of kin
3. stop any government finances (social security and so on)
4. remove from Voter rolls

First, condolences for your loss.

What county are you in? Did he die in that county or maybe out of state? In Ventura County, Public Health sends a list of those who have died in the county to the Registrar of Voters (ROV) twice a month. They are then removed from the rolls.

But if they die out of state, or maybe even in another county, the ROV won’t be notified. If you give the ROV a copy of the death certificate, they should remove him from the rolls.

It took about 15 years to get my daughter, who moved away and took her husband's family name, to be removed from the local rolls.
