If you’re from Atlanta and a Falcons fan, I wouldn’t mention it while in town. The rivalry between Saints fans and Atlanta fans is pretty intense.

There are some talented chefs in New Orleans.
Avoid the old quarter, smells like mold and can’t be healthy.
GW Finns. Good food and a great waitstaff. We found Commanders Palace overrated and the waiter acted like he was doing us a favor. The food was mediocre.
Just checked your link and it leads right back to the FR main page of threads..........Sheesh!
No. My wife is a huge Saints fan. Loves Brees. Well be loyally dressed.
Heading to NO for a wedding in April so bookmarking and taking notes.
A VERY nice and EXPENSIVE restaurant is Commander's Palace......get the kids a babysitter!
I guess I was thinking it was north. Usually in NOLA my direction is off. Ha ha.
Good eats.
The best advice I can give you is to stay in the tourist areas.
Wonderful! I probably won’t be able to eat Thanksgiving dinner because I’ll be so nervous watching the game.
Marking for November road trip.
The ‘old standards’:
Commander’s Palace
K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen
Brennan’s
Antoinne’s
Less established but still exceptional:
Clancys
Patois
Dooky Chase
Willie Maes
Liuzzas
Vincents
Satsuma Cafe
August
Herbsaint
Coquette
Elizabeths
Not a loser in the lot, I gah-rohn-tee.
Non-dinner:
R&O Restaurant for po’ boys
Central Grocery for muffalettas
Yes, several people have mentioned this including a trusted friend of mine who is an experienced traveler. Basically we plan on being in three places:
1) The Superdome
2) Bourbon Street
3) The WWII Museum
We’re only there 2 nights. Any issues?
Seriously, can you give examples?
Open sex? Drugs? Drunkeness? I’m in Manhattan often and have also been to San Francisco a few times. So I’m not too easily shocked.
lots of drag queens doing ICKY stuff.....Hookers in windows....drunkenness is the LEAST of the debauchery.
I used to go to the original one in NO and will be a fan of them wherever they show up.
My experience is pretty limited. When I was there I was with a group and we saw on the horizon a very well lit area off in the distance. We decided to walk to it and see what it was and a car pulled up and the driver said, “Go back to Bourbon Street and never go anywhere besides the heavily trafficked tourist areas.” This was about 25 years ago and I imagine it is a lot worse now.
