Ssholes the Beach Boys mainly used the wrecking crew in the mid60s. They were great live in the 70s especially.

Eagles, Doobies, Seger and Aerosmith are always high on my list.
But, whenever conversations of great rock groups come up I like to jump off track a bit and see what people think about a band not from America; the Beatles. A lot of their music was fun to listen to, but I never considered them a rock and roll band.
