Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.
During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.
"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

NIKK, I was a SF Giants season-ticket holder for 18 years. Giants vs Dodger games were always an event. When the Giants were at Candlestick, Tommy Lasorda would walk from the right field gate to the Dodger dugout to a barrage of boos so loud you couldn't hear yourself speak.
Lasorda took it all in fun and absolutely loved it. He would wave and blow kisses to the crowd all the way across the field. As soon as he got to the dugout there would be a mass of fans clamoring for an autograph.
Those were great times. Lasorda does bleed Dodger Blue and has always been a terrific manager and Ambassador for baseball.

Gillum called himself “a deep and unapologetic friend to Israel” and recalled the trips that he has taken to the
country as part of a program with Ramat HaSharon, a coastal city near the West Bank.
