Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.

During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.

"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

Oh I don’t know, some of the Jarred sauces are pretty good. There was one that had a red sauce with pesto, I think maybe it was Bertolli?

You’re welcome!
his mother was feral, and got hit by a car.
A coworker of mine bottle fed him until he was about 7 weeks old, then gave him to me!
That rascal is always in some kind of trouble!
Can’t imagine where he learned that!

“I think it might make you feel lots better to talk/ and exchange ideas with people who live it every day.”

This is true. That saying is true that misery loves company. It sounds kind of bad, but it is nice to know that you’re not the only one going through hard times. It makes it easier to know we’re not alone.

That story about the greenhouses needs to go in the book. It’s not only an uplifting idea, but it has a good moral to it, that things can always get better.

Now here is my favorite dessert, which is also fine for snacking. It's easy to make and better than anything you can buy in the store.

BISCOTTI

1/4 lb butter
4 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp anise seed
3 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour

Melt the butter in a bowl. Add 3 eggs and the vanilla extract, stirring rapidly. Add the sugar and stir. Add the anise seed, baking powder and flour, stirring all the while. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

Take the dough and split it in half, putting each half on a cookie sheet. Spread each to the length of the sheet. Take the yolk of one egg, add water, and spread the glaze on the top of each half. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

Remove, let cool and cut in a sawing motion using a serrated knife. The slices should be 5/8 inch thick. Put back on the cookie sheets, and bake in a 300 degree oven for 10 minutes.

Note that this is the Christmas and Easter recipe. For the summer recipe, use 1 tsp lemon extract and 1 tbsp dried lemon peel instead of the vanilla extract and anise seed.

Biscotti is perfect for dunking in coffee or red wine. I've found that dunking in Japanese green tea makes the flavor explode in your mouth.

Yummy, that Sicilian cod stew sounds great. I like making a pasta puttanesca sauce that has Capers and Kalamata olives. The flavor combination is wonderful. This fun with the green olives will be similar. And I love fish.

I love polenta. I’m currently going through a creamy phase, where I prefer the really soft polenta. Mix in a little parmesan cheese, yummy. I just can’t seem to get into grits without the parmesan cheese :-) I suppose maybe a little cheddar would do.

He is so cute, I love those white paws. Was he a playful kitten? My last kittens were three civil Persians from the same litter. Most boring kittens I’ve ever had. They never climbed the drapes, never knocked anything over, they are the mellowest cats I’ve ever had. Kind of like stuffed ones that eat and poop.

The reason I got nervous about troop movements is what happened in 2003 when there was an attempt to move war materiel to the troops in Iraq out of the Port of Olympia. The leftists in that area, reinforced by the crazies at Evergreen State College, blocked the port facility and prevented loading. I would have preferred that the military greeted these people with machine guns and flamethrowers, but that would have been bad optics.

My concern is leftists sabotaging the train tracks and highways to block the military on its way to the border. This stuff needs to be kept on the QT until it's too late for leftists or La Raza to interfere.

Oh yes, lashing out is so easy when hurting. I’m sorry you’re having a hard time tonight.

I had a little family of dwarf hamsters, and one of them started attacking the other. It ends up the poor little thing was diabetic. At times he would just be having his little eyes squinting and he could barely get up because he was in so much pain. Luckily I figure it out some dietary things and he did better and had a long life. Andy quit attacking his brothers. So it was all just because he was hurting.

This could be a way to get the Corps of Engineers to build the wall out of the military budget.
