I don’t understand why Khashoggi went to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in the first place. What was he thinking? He might as well have stuck his head in the open jaws of an alligator.

I agree. Fortunately, we have Trump to stay the course...I hope. I’m guessing the US will take some token action to express our disapproval, but it would be foolish to do something that would lose their cooperation.

President Trump and the US should act in the way that is best for US national interests going forward. We don’t have to love everything about countries and their leaders who are strategic “allies”. As ugly as it is, it’s not smart to shoot ourselves in the foot over incidents like this.

Why didn’t they just come out with all the facts and state that he was tried, found guilty, and sentence executed.
This guy was a Saudi citizen, friend of Bin Laden, Muslim Brotherhood, anti Saudi Arabia........ where are all the supporting facts? (may I add friend of Hillary?)
