The only movies that seem to make money these days are superhero and horror movies. Original movies can barely crack the top 50.

It’s mostly younger audiences that go to the movies frequently. They flock to action and horror movies in droves. Attendance from older audiences (40 and older) is in decline though. Maybe because most movies seem geared to kids and teens.

Superhero movies I don’t get, but horror I love!!!!
I agree that other movies disappear quickly. I also think they make so many. Sometimes less, but better quality, is more.

Those movies for adults are still hanging on, but people arent going. I just went to one I liked last week called Bad Times at the El Royals. Of course, it bombed at the box office.

Why not just wait for it to come out on Netflix?

I just went to one I liked last week called Bad Times at the El Royals. The great cast has me wanting to see it. Just about anything with Jeff Bridges is worthwhile.

Universal/DreamWorks First Man has a second weekend of $8.6M, -46%, 10-day of $30M.One of the local talk radio hosts gave a scathing review of First Man. Said the director and the script made going to the moon a dour, joyless slog. As opposed to a celebration of one of the greatest achievements in human history.

"Why not just wait for it to come out on Netflix?"
That's what I do. I check the new trailers for upcoming movies, and then search for them on Netflix. If they're listed, I save them to my my "Saved" Queue. Every week or so I'll go back to the "Saved" Queue, to see if any new movies have been given a release date, and have been moved up into my "DVD Queue." Once they're there, I can then move them to the top of my "DVD Queue" and they'll be eventually sent upon release.

Glad to see First Man sinking. Very disappointed in Claire Foy.
