The biggest ever!
What would be ok would be multiple dividing prizes. Cannot think of what a billion would do to the average Joe out there. Nor 60 million either. A long list in Canada jubilantly reported by the tabloid press of ruined lives. This of jubilant winners a year later. Yes, relatives long lost and hordes of advisers and glad handers.
Still, I will take a two mile drive into Michigan where gas is about a dollar twenty five a gallon cheaper. Might as well buy a dream as well. (LOL).
I can justify tossing in $2 on the excuse of cheap entertainment. I am basically renting a day dream for a couple days. But spending any more than that is wasting money. My 2 bucks is going to get me the exact same fantasy as the guy who drops $200. In the end neither of us is going to win, but I will be out a candy bar and he will be out a steak dinner for two at a high end restaurant.
Yes. You do need to buy a new ticket. They do have something called advance draw where you pay for a set of numbers on one ticket but it is good for x number of future drawings. Not many people seem to know that though.
Who would make up the board?
The biggest problem with a trust is that one way or another, the left will always take over it - see DuPont, Ford, Carnegie. All capitalists who left a LOT of money had their children or grandchildren be courted and corrupted by the left, turning the money over to the left. The trust funds of those people now fund radical environmentalism, radical animal rights, progressivism in general.
That's the LAST thing I'd want to happen to money like that.
Bought my ticket.
I have never won anything in my life, not going to start now.
But it was fun to have a little hour’s daydream.
FR If I win I will send in a larger donation. LOL
THE LOTTERY TICKET
John, who was in financial difficulty, walked into a church and started to pray. ‘’Listen God,’’ John said. ‘’I know I haven’t been perfect but I really need to win the lottery. I don’t have a lot of money. Please help me out.’’
He left the church, a week went by, and he hadn’t won the lottery, so he walked into a synagogue. ‘’Come on, God,’’ he said. ‘’I really need this money. My mom needs surgery and I have bills to pay. Please let me win the lottery.’’ He left the synagogue, a week went by, and he didn’t win the lottery. So, he went back to church and started to pray again.
‘’You’re starting to disappoint me, God,’’ he said. ‘’I’ve prayed and prayed. If you just let me win the lottery, I’ll be a better person. I don’t have to win the jackpot, just enough to get me out of debt. I’ll give some to charity, even. Just let me win the lottery.’’ John thought this did it, so he got up and walked outside.
The clouds opened up and a booming voice said, ‘’John, buy a damned lottery ticket!!’’
But then sometimes winning a large sum of money can create a lot of problems...maybe I skip buying a ticket. Dont want to deal with the hassle of having too much money /s

What do you mean Not Good Money Management?
This ticket is my retirement plan.
First thing to do is to make copies of the ticket and mail them with your name address and SSN to close friends and self and put in safety deposit box.
Then call trust company of bank and have them and their lawyers meet with you at home to draw up the corporations and trusts for the winnings and open the accounts. Then have a representative process the winnings with the state.
Then call chickensoup for her cut of the take.
about a 500 million return after taxes and fees. Not a good bet.
If you had cancer, would you go to a general practitioner, or would you go to a specialist. I worked in a large bank in a pretty senior position. The local trust department is not capable of what you are going to need. Unless your local bank is Goldman Sachs.
Good tip! Thank you!
Even if you do use a trust to collect your winnings, here in my state of Washington, someone can still find out who you are. Back in 2006, a couple in Yakima one six million in the lottery. They went the trust route and they also had an attorney file an injunction to prevent their names from being published. The case went to court, and a judge ruled against them. Among the evidence they used were newspaper articles about kidnappings that had taken place in the Yakima area. They didn’t want their name released because they were afraid for themselves and their family.
Although you can pick up your winnings via a trust, the state of Washington considers Lottery info as public records. That means that if your lottery winnings are picked up in the name of a trust, someone can go and do a search on your trust and find out who formed it, thereby getting your names.
.
When you record a trust, you can put your lawyer’s office as the address to return the recorded document to.
Trustor, beneficiary, and trustee addresses do not have to appear in the document.
Ask *The Donald*; he knows how to do this stuff.
He's busy, maybe you would recommend John Kerry?
Morgan Trust department
Thatll do.
Not to put a damper on your plan but there is this insane customs law that makes it illegal to import lotttery and other gambling things into the US. Should you purchase a ticket and take it back to Canada and lo you win you have a big problem. It might work if you went the day/night of the draw and stayed and watched the draw in the US and if you won remained in the US until you collected. Better have proof you never left the US to boot as well.
