There is only One who is infinite.
It’s fun watching silly dirt people running around with their grandiose ideas.
Einstein objected to the idea of anything being indeterminate (i.e., an effect without a cause). So do I.
This so-called collapse only occurs, not only when observation, or measurement, is underway, makes it entirely subjective, i.e. imaginary, i.e. unscientific.
It now provides excuses for Hollywood which has franchised 4 different incompatible versions of ‘Halloween’ and at least 3 different branches of ‘Psycho’ mythology.
This article transitions abruptly from a discussion of different scientific models to one that is purely philosophical. In any case, to me, the business of science is the business of making predictions, accurate and repeatable ones.
In what sense does an “alternative reality” exist if we can never interact with it, directly or indirectly? If there is none, then the discussion is no more than opinion, dressed up as science.
My belief is that each action creates a different timeline. That different timeline is a parallel universe. That happens for each action by each person every second.
Some of these timelines may be dead ends while others have long lives. Maybe Sci-Fi but food for thought.
Did they ever mention what caused the worlds to separate? In what way are they separate?
So physics is indistinguishable from Theosophy now. Cool. I’ll remember that every time that @$$ Dawson opens his nasty mouth.
The quantum level is not the level of hard physical existence, and thus comparing quantum events with what events can take place at the physical level, and believing that comparison is valid, is a scientific escape hatch used to get around what science does not understand.
Just because something “could” happen is not “proof” it does happen. The extra dimensions myth just escapes having to explain why the act of oberservation impacts that which is being observed. They don’t understsnd how that happens, so they pretend all possibilities are happening.
No, there are an ‘infinite’ number of POSSIBLE positions for the particle to be in. When a measurement is taken, the wave collapses to one discreet position. Until collapse the wave shows the probability, hence the name, of where the particle will be found. This is different from saying the particle exists at an infinite number of positions.
Break out the merkabas. It’s time to go inter-dimensional!
I love this stuff...
“It is the most extraordinary, alluring and thought-provoking of all the ways in which quantum mechanics has been interpreted.”
No, it’s the dumbest, most meaningless, and least scientific...
Its comforting to know that in some alternate universe, Hitler died in childbirth and Obama lost the election in 2008. But then we would have been stuck with McCain until Palin succeeded him 8 years later instead of Trump.
Does this mean one of me will win the Mega Millions drawing tonight? And, if so, what are banks currently charging for interuniversal wire transfers?
We swim in the multiverse. Our minds determine our reality. What we call delusions or mental illness is a mind not perceiving the same universe as the others around it. Miracles and wonders are created when universes are consciously (or unconsciously) navigated.
God is the ultimate navigator of the multiverse, existing outside of our perception of time and space.
Physics will, at some point, become the bridge between the physical and the metaphysical, between the base and the spiritual, between God and man.
