It is the most extraordinary, alluring and thought-provoking of all the ways in which quantum mechanics has been interpreted. In its most familiar guise, the many-worlds interpretation (MWI) suggests that we live in a near-infinity of universes, all superimposed in the same physical space but mutually isolated and evolving independently. In many of these universes there exist replicas of you and me, all but indistinguishable yet leading other lives.
The MWI illustrates just how peculiarly quantum theory forces us to think. It is an intensely controversial view. Arguments about the interpretation of quantum mechanics are noted for their passion, as disagreements that cant be settled by objective evidence are wont to be. But when the MWI is in the picture, those passions can become so extreme that we must suspect a great deal more invested in the matter than simply the resolution of a scientific puzzle.

So physics is indistinguishable from Theosophy now. Cool. Ill remember that every time that @$$ Dawson

Quantum physics lends itself to philosophy.
My belief is that each action creates a different timeline. That different timeline is a parallel universe. That happens for each action by each person every second.
Some of these timelines may be dead ends while others have long lives. Maybe Sci-Fi but food for thought.
My view is very similar to yours.
Does this mean one of me will win the Mega Millions drawing tonight? And, if so, what are banks currently charging for interuniversal wire transfers?
I do not interpret it that way, but I have no interest in explaining myself .
You are certainly free to interpret my interpretation any way you would like, in any universe you are in 😀
In one variant world you were hitler and another a sinple house painter
But that painter may have cheated on his taxes in one variant world so he’s a sinner too
Moral equivalence and all that
And then there are the alternate timelines where Jesus wasn’t crucified
Do you think sin is a matter of cheating on taxes? And do you think Christ would ever choose not to sacrifice himself for our salvation?
You are only being argumentative, you’d like to be superior, smart, all that.
I concede...you’re all that.....hope it works out for you.
The crowd in the infinite possibilities would have spared Jesus Christ at least once.
Multicrap is crapthink and junk science.
Well, thanks for including me.......
We swim in the multiverse. Our minds determine our reality. What we call delusions or mental illness is a mind not perceiving the same universe as the others around it. Miracles and wonders are created when universes are consciously (or unconsciously) navigated.
God is the ultimate navigator of the multiverse, existing outside of our perception of time and space.
Physics will, at some point, become the bridge between the physical and the metaphysical, between the base and the spiritual, between God and man.
