"Two years ago Trump was here and made some waves with his remarks so last year you went with Paul Ryan who’s a boy scout and that’s fine but a little boring," she said. "So this year you wanted to spice things up again. I get it, you wanted an Indian woman but Elizabeth Warren failed her DNA test...Actually, when the president found out I was Indian-American he asked me if I was the same tribe as Elizabeth Warren."

While the former South Carolina governor insisted that she would not be running for president in 2020, speculation mounted that she could replace Senator Lindsey Graham if he were to take over as attorney general after the midterm elections.

During her 17-minute speech Thursday, Haley took aim at Jeff Sessions, the current attorney general. "Jeff Sessions wanted to be here but he recused himself," she said. "Actually I saw Jeff Sessions earlier today, but not in New York, I saw him on LinkedIn looking for a job. Trump made sure to highly praise the ambassador, who has a high approval rating with both Democratic and Republican voters, after she said she would resign at the end of this year.

“She’s done a fantastic job, and we’ve done a fantastic job together,” Trump said during a recent Oval Office meeting with Haley. “She’s a fantastic person, very importantly, but she also is somebody that gets it.”

Speaking on Thursday, Haley said that she was not thinking about the 2020 election yet because it was way too early, "unless you’re a Senate Democrat during the Kavanaugh hearing," she joked.

She also made sure the crowd knew she did not write the anonymous Op-Ed written... that railed against President Trump. "You can call me anything, just don't call me anonymous," she said.

Couldn’t have just linked that?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Sure. But then the facts would continue to be ignored and confusion would reign.

Now the facts are simply right there for all to see, but I guess you can’t un-cramp a scrolling finger. My bad.( grin)

I and others, who know the facts of this, have posted about it, in even greater depth, here, for many years. It’s long past time that others stop disagreeing and take what our government says about it; Obama be damned. >>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yes, I have damned Obama repeatedly since 2007, as a liberal fascist.

But the problem is that the definition of what NBC means according to the presidential qualification is NOT settled law. Maybe with Gorsuch and Kavanaugh on the bench of SCOTUS, the issue can be clarified.

All of the bloviation in the world won’t clarify the issue.

Here is a thorough summary of the situation:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural-born-citizen_clause

But one thing is sure, no individual citizen has standing to bring an eligibility suit against a presidential candidate.
Only a state ballot access suit would bring the matter into the Courts.

As things stand now, only Congress can decide the issue of individual presidential candidate qualification. And that should be codified into law so the issue can be properly raised when necessary, but the fact is that we have no clear solution to the issue at law.

The issue is a political one in any given case and it will be for the future unless SCOTUS or Congress has the opportunity to decide to end the present ambiguity.

I doubt in Haley’s case that you could get the necessary political will power to rule on her eligibility as a presidential candidate. But things can change in the political world. So right now we have to live with the political uncertainty of the qualification issue.

No one has proposed a law to define the qualification issue clearly in the House or the Senate. If they did they would be pilloried as “birthers.”

But maybe we can get PDJT to take a stand on the issue and promise to nudge Congress to step up?
