A mysterious light was spotted in China last night, leaving residents baffled.
Witnesses shared pictures and videos of an identified object appearing to light up the night sky like a massive torch, seen above the regions of Beijing, Chongqing, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia at about 6:45pm local time.
A UFO expert claimed that the footage looked like the trail of a rocket motor.
A military magazine editor and blogger by the name of Weaponmagazine-Xiaoning said the footage could be of Chinese military testing a top secret hypersonic aircraft, DF-ZF. The hypersonic glide vehicle was previously known by the Pentagon as WU-14.
However, officials in China have yet to confirm the latest round of testing.
Residents in Beijing were also startled by a similar sighting on April 27, when a strange beam of light was spotted in the night sky, said to be caused by a rocket launch from Taiyuan's satellite launch centre.

Back when I lived in Los Angeles, we would occasionally see similar light effects from rockets shot from Vandenberg.
Wind vortex - clouds shaped by wind currents. I’ve seen some really weird cloud formations due to winds aloft.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if ET lands on Earth after the Dems get slaughtered in the midterms citing the reason that they decided to reveal themselves is due to the outstanding leadership of the President of the United States of America.
That’d be frigging hilarious ... liberals everywhere would join Space Force to kill the aliens.
No, I’m not drunk or high.

Harbor Freight in the sky.
Those HF impact sockets have done extremely well by me.
I had one plus a few extensions and a HF dewalt impact driver plus an HF box end wrench dropping the CJ7’S fuel tank. Those would sit on the rusted bolts better than my front line equivalents.
