Fox News Channel has recently pulled back from airing President Donald Trumps campaign-style rallies during prime time, a move that could put a crimp in Republican efforts to reach voters in the weeks before midterm elections.
During much of the late summer, Fox would pre-empt its lucrative nightly lineup of Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham in order to air the rallies. None of its rivals did so. It was an important platform for the president and his supporters, since Foxs opinionated hosts are generally their first choice for political coverage.
On Tuesday of last week, Carlson told viewers that Fox would be monitoring the presidents rally from Mississippi and would break in for any news. [ ]
Without live coverage of his rally on Wednesday, the president found other ways to reach Foxs audience. He had a phone interview with Foxs Shannon Bream on Wednesday night and called into the morning Fox & Friends show on Thursday.

This is notable change but impact is rather limited as there are so many ways to watch live feed, including from Fox online, the White House, and all of the networks. Probably a net positive as people can watch President Trump life, then the recordings of Tucker and others, else the reverse.
OAN always carries it.

when they cover Trump then lose ad revenue when they do not go to ads.
He has planned many rally over next 3 weeks. Cannot cover every evening.
Ho-Hum. Who cares? FOX is no longer cutting edge.
Oan is available on directv. I watch it a lot. Here lately more than Fox.
I dont blame Fox. The rallies are repetitive and frequent. They will go back to them when the rallies go back to once per month.
Three quarters of faux news are de facto Democrats and RINOs, so reducing the President’s exposure a few weeks before a critical election is no surprise.
Never forget they sandbagged then candidate Trump during the debates with meghen kelly’s BS.
A leopard cannot change its strips.
OAN, eh? I heard they were what fox should have been.
Any idea why Tomi Lahern got booted?
I watch on Right Side Broadcasting Network. Their coverage includes the entire rally, not just President Trump.
Coincidentally, I’m cutting back on watching Fox during Trump rallies.
Believe me I’ve noticed.
I watch the President’s rallys live on You Tube, Right Side Broadcasting, no Fox commercials.
I watched the horse racing channel earlier today and a local Kentucky politician was interviewed. The host said “President Trump is (visiting Kentucky)...” The politician (Andy Barr, I believe) praised him then mentioned how he was going to Trump’s rally. Good stuff.
They have a new strategy of teasing the live rally for about 10 seconds before each commercial break, saying, “We’ll cut to the rally if there’s any news,” but they obviously have no plans to. Annoying!
I agree with the comment the rallies can be repetitive, still, if I want to see one I’d rather watch TV than streaming.
Its almost to the how do they possibly save face moment. Expect mindless outrage.
Not absolutely certain on this but it seems to my memory that it had something to do with her being pro-abort.
