Dating applications can allow users to fall into their own racial biases while searching for a partner, a new study says.
But in their study, researchers from schools like Cornell University say the “sexual racism” that plagues apps like Grindr, Tinder and Bumble can be stamped out with a few simple changes. The end goal, the study says, is to promote more diverse pairings on the dating sites.
Jevan Hutson, lead author of the study, said in a press release from Cornell University that “it’s really an unprecedented time for dating and meeting online” — which requires a more thorough look at how we can prevent discrimination on these dating apps.
“More people are using these apps, and they’re critical infrastructures that don’t get a lot of attention when it comes to bias and discrimination,” he said in the press release. “Intimacy is very private, and rightly so, but our private lives have impacts on larger socioeconomic patterns that are systemic.”
“Over the years I’ve had some pretty harrowing experiences,” Keodara told The Guardian. “You run across these profiles that say ‘no Asians’ or ‘I’m not attracted to Asians’. Seeing that all the time is grating; it affects your self-esteem.”

Is this racist condition any different than men not wanting to date men? Are all heterosexuals now automatically homophobic if they prefer normal sexual relations? Obviously all white people are racists unless they are having relations with non-white people.

What is wrong with freedom of association, personal choice? If they forced people to date within race or forced them to not, that’d be wrong.

Other traits would slowly disappear too. Looking at just black people we’d lose their athletic dominance and their musical superiority. Every populace would lose something and the human race would turn into the average race.
Can’t tell that to the advertising world. Almost every commercial has a mixed race couple, mostly Negro a guy with pretty white girl, and if you look closely, there ain’t no wedding rings either.
And if there is a white guy, he’s sloppy fat and doesn’t shave.

So, get this straight, while the direction of the comments is focsuing on how “wrong” it is that “white” people mostly only choose other “white” people on dating sites, taken its logical distance it also means that “black” people are wrong for mostly choosing “black” people, Chinese choosing Chinese, Koreans choosing Koreans, ect., ect.
Yet, is there really anything wrong at all for those pairings? NO.
I know very well adjusted, very tolerant non-racist people in pairings such as those - people most like the families they come from. There is not a dam thing wrong with it, unless you are a Marxist/Progressive Utopian trying to scientifially engineer a “new man” where respect for true diversity is a thing of the past because diversity no longer exists.
“Roots” can be retained, without that including a racist intolerant disrespect for others.

I’m a guy and have been on dating sites looking for women, and have run across a few trannies. It’s creepy AF when I do!
Many times it’s not blatantly obvious, and the dude just throws it in randomly among his interests, stats, etc. so it can be easily missed if you’re not paying attention.
Next thing you know, you’re talking to a “woman” who has a deeper voice than you.
