I admit I’m shocked and surprised to see hundreds even thousands of replies on Q threads.
I obviously do not post on them. But I watch them. My take?
These are not your normal ordinary FReepers. These are people who have glommed onto a site that allows them free and easy access to spout their nonsense.
My fear? That Free Republic will be no different than Reddit, 4-chan and other kook fringe sites.
Jim, I would caution you to keep a tight lid on Q-bots. But I suspect this will all simmer down after the election and after Sleepy Jeff and Rosenstink are gone.

I haven’t been involved in any of these Q discussions but I don’t see the harm if people believe in it. Find something to discuss if you don’t.
To me the whole Q thing seems like something I would only discuss on my shoe-phone or under the Cone of Silence, but to each his own.
What bothers me is the “them” and “us” attitudes——I find it divisive.

I was being bullied for my conservative, Christian views by Fourth Grade, while my father was recovering from campaigning for Barry Goldwater, who was sabotaged by proto-RINO Neocons.

I believe in freedom of thought and speech. I do not want them banned; I simply now avoid them. I stopped perusing GobbledyQook (as I took it) long ago. My only complaint was that Q obsessers sought to high-jack threads of an opposing viewpoint.
Let’s live and let live. I for one believe in the Lord Jesus Christ - and he is the only one I Trust with a Capital T. Everyone else - and I mean everyone, including Q, Sundance, Sessions, and Trump - is subject to revocation of trust as far as I am concerned.
I will continue to read Q threads, and occasionally participate. I like the discussion of issues and theories involving issues raised by Q drops that you will not find anywhere else. Sure, some things are far-fetched, but I can decide what is plausible and what is out there. The one thing I do not like about them are the anti-Q trolls coming over just to cause trouble. A reasoned discussion is one thing. Baiting other FReepers is something else. Take that to DU where it belongs.
I assume those who start fights and directly insult are plants. Don’t let a couple of bad apples taint the entire barrel.

Thanks for a place to come at the end of the day and connect with other conservatives. In 1998 I knew nothing about politics, and FR was the place where I observed and learned.
That said, I expect to be here for years to come. The Trump Presidency will be a good time for us all and I believe good for Free Republic!
As far as the Q thread is concerned, its clearly marked. If someone finds themself on the thread the mouse didn't click itself.

Any true Q person knows the greatest hope we have (besides the ultimate defeat of the evil cabal) is that good non Q people will someday know and understand the true nature of the battle we are waging and how we wage it with nothing more than aggressive research, fact checking and simple sharing. Divisiveness is by definition: ANTI-Q.

Because of course, Q people and Q himself or themselves, ARE NOT the SAME thing.
(Somehow I didn't get on the list, but I too became and remain one of those dreaded Q persons posting on the FR Q threads, and my initial foray into the FR Q Threads was also not without trauma. Trauma is to be expected in battlegrounds.)

These Q battles are fought against ALL of us good people with lots of weapons. Chiefest among them divisiveness. Add to those weapons all manner of misdirection, and the concerted lock step MSM denigration of all things Q, without ever telling you the simple truth about its good people followers.
As for divisiveness...
It's easy to spot when you look for it.
The interesting part is determining if the divider in question is just naturally (*cough*bagster?;-) divisive,
ideologically divisive, (Leftist)
paid to be divisive, (Soros, etc,)
or is divisive because they have particular skills in that area and are under orders and on a mission.
All of the above can be found right here on FR, because FR actually matters.
You do not have to be a "Q believer" to engage in honest aggressive research, fact finding and sharing with folks in the Q threads or elsewhere. Even "Q Persons" trust Trump over Q, and revere truth more than either.
Fact is, we Q People need good skeptics. I became skeptical of a much repeated claim that was making a certain "Q Proof" into much more than it was. Battle for truth, using research and fact checking (yes, flames too) ensued. Truth won.
Real "Q Persons" want everyone engaged (But not Consumed!) in the battle for truth. But yes, the search for truth is sometimes more fun on the Q side of the fence. (And Yes, actual Trolls have been actually converted! We proudly claim them under our banner.)
Ok, sometimes too much more fun. (We do not possess a painless Identify Friend or Foe system... And some that have been used didn't work right or were less than skillfully deployed. Most of us are only human.)
