Southern California FReepers Ping:
Please post up your personal photos of tonights launch into our local sky.
Gracias.
Just to be clear, the time is 7:20 p.m. PDT, right?
I appreciate the heads up.
Please ping me with any Southern California related articles. Thank you!
If you want on or off this ping list, please FReepmail me.
SpaceXs live video webcast begins around 15 minutes prior to launch, 7:06 p.m. PDT for 7:21 launch, and will be available on this page:
Live coverage: SpaceX prepares for launch and landing in California
I’m in Santa Barbara. Looking forward to it.
The goal is/was to do their first landing on land (they’ve done F9 landings on the Pacific drone ship in the past), and also going to try another net catch of one of the fairing pieces. If the latter works, they’ll build a second ship and catch both of them next time.

I watched this “three way” of enthusiast YouTubers earlier today, has the details.

is this the official thread then?
Ben starting a newer thread for our posted up fotos?
Saw it from my back yard in Reno!
Thanks! It was.
I didn’t hear a sonic boom, but I saw it flying through the sky over the ocean with a trail of light. It was beautiful. I wouldn’t have even known about it if not for this post.
